A bit late to the party, but glad to be back again.

Last year's jam was my first ever jam, and although I almost missed it, I wanted to join again.

I'll admit I've not made as much progress in learning gamedev as I'd like, but I'm still enjoying the learning curve.

My 2 favourite bits of any jam are the theme restrictions and the community.  Pretty much every jam I have done has been welcoming and getting the opportunity for feedback is always a great help.

So good luck to everyone and I hope you enjoy the experience.

I remember your game from last years jam, really enjoyed it. It's great to see you back again this year!

Thanks, nice to see you back too.  It's nice you remember the game, I spent ages getting the farmer to work, and I still remember your lemon as well.

Hoping to get a game together for the deadline but won't be anything too ambitious.

Good luck!

Hi!  I'm also trying to keep my scope small, but I thought I'd have to miss out entirely cause I started university this year and, well, that's my focus. But the jam happened right between my first two trimesters, so I've got a little bit of time :)  Good luck!

It really can be a challenge fitting in gamedev around a busy life, especially in a game jam where you have a limited amount of time.  Scope ends up being incredibly important, but I also find the restrictions give added focus provided I have the time to work during the jam.

Good luck with the jam and with uni.

Hey, congrats on making it back for another jam — that’s awesome! I did last year’s jam too, and looking back now, I can really see how much I’ve improved. This game has been the most fun I’ve ever had making something, and I honestly can’t wait for people to try it out.

Totally agree with you about the theme restrictions and the community — they’re what make these jams so special. Keep at it and enjoy the ride. Best of luck with your game!

Thanks, I make my games solo and I generally find it fun working through the various tasks.  I also mostly aim to make my own assets as well, all during the jam.  I find the most rewarding bit is normally when you work on something complex, that you're trying new, and you get it working.  Going from idea to design, to building, and finding the answer that fits.

Good luck with the jam.

Thanks man, yeah I'm always solo but this time i got a music composer in my team  :)

Music is one of the most difficult bits I find.

The music in my first few jams was, let's just say not great.  After figuring a few things out, and some practice playing about with LMMS, different plugins and exercises taking sheet music and translating it into LMMS, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.  Now some pieces I make, people look at me and say "you really made that?"

I hope you get it all working.
