This seems like an interesting concept. Keep on the good work!
It was a nice time-killer type of game! I think the white ant pulled me out of the gameplay a bit, and the carry upgrades need a bit of tweaking. As well as the cake, I collected everything and couldn't get the cake!!! i was like "NOOOOO"
Haha sorry about that, I changed the formula for the upgrade cost last minute before I submitted the project and didn't have time to playtest much until now. It seems like my math was wrong! I will go ahead and fix that asap. Thank you for playing!
Great idea, shame you didn't get it finished but that is hard on such a short development time scale. I'd continue it at least to a finished state as it's a great way to learn to complete a game. To be honest jams are really good at teaching you how to complete a game (at least in a rough form) as that is really a hard skill to master.
I'm still learning, I trend to leave sound/music and polish to too late and so never do a great job on those. However you do improve the more you do! Keep Developing :-)
the concept is good but need a lot of work like sounds and all , had fun playing tho
Love the direction you are going with this, its a great concept. I hope you pick it back up after the Jam and continue with it
Thank you for playing the game! I plan to create a few smaller updates over the next few days, and might try to finish off our ideas fully!
I enjoy the concept a lot. Reminds me of those <insertname>.io ones where you get bigger better things. I think you're very close to a "complete" game jam game tbh. My feedback for direct / game breaking fixes is you don't uncapture the mouse when we press E to go to upgrade. So the browser just hogs the mouse so you can't upgrade. If I could upgrade then it'd be considered successful to me ^.^ Also extra features that are high value but somewhat simple to add for future thought would be sound effects for picking up and dropping off sugar, maybe some nice ambient music. I enjoyed it anyway, congrats on the progresss and game you made with your time constraints!
Thank you for taking the time to play! Ill go ahead and push an update to fix the mouse capture, thank you for pointing it out!
Let me know when you have made the fix and I'll play it again ^.^
I just saw you updated so it doesn't hog the cursor to click which is great!! Unfortunately, it seems this build the rotation speed has changed to be unusuably slow to rotate, did you change it? When I say slow it's like almost 30s-1min to turn kind of slow for me
That is really weird, I didn't change the turn speed value at all. The wonders of technology...
I will push out another fix for that around 12pm EST today.
Ouch on not getting to finish this. Life happens. But the idea is there. I couldn't upgrade cause the came wanted to lock my cursor for camera movement. Way to go with what you did get done! There's promise in this.
Thank you for playing! I have updated the game to unlock the mouse cursor when you open the upgrade menu.
I plan to make some other small updates over the next few days!
Cool idea!
Thank you for playing the game!
