Controls take a while to get used to but like the art and very atmospheric. Had fun with this one.
Very nice atmosphere, art design and sound.
Pretty cool mechanic changing the orbit radius!
However, it does get very repetitive after the 2nd planet or so. Missing the orbit of a collectible just to wait for the whole circle again and again got frustrating. Them the enemies felt way too brutal, they just start blasting you and there's no way to escape because of the locked movement, so it felt very unfair.
My suggestion would be to have a variety of challenges using the rotation around the planet instead of the repetitive process of collecting the green orbs each time.
Good suggestions. Originally I had Von rotate-able but it made me a bit seasick. More challenges would be a neat idea.
I had a good time playing. I did struggled to understand the movement system at first, but I got the hang of it after a couple of runs.
The game looks great, I played little bit but will give it more time later. Only thing is, are you supposed to move forward with W? I don't have any control in terms of where I am pointing or how fast/slow I'm moving, but maybe I misunderstood the controls. But I'm enjoying the humour and the story so far!
Hi LibbySip,
The controls are based on orbital mechanics, so W accelerates you, while S decelerates you. Accelerating causes Von to speed up, which makes his orbital path get wider, allowing you to reach further out from planets or stars, while S slows him down, causing the orbital path to shrink. It’s a weird control system for sure!
Or, more simply, W for wider orbits, S for smaller orbits.
Thanks for playing!
