Nice game. The movement could be a bit more responsive, maybe up the speed a little and add some inertion
Great work on this game! The thrusters seem to be great but the turning is a little slow, might work with a bit of an increase with the turning speed? I love the pop up numbers but both in the normal web version and fullscreen mode I could barely see the UI element at the top. In Unity if you switch the canvas to Scale with ScreenSize that might fix the issue.
I am loving the start and direction of this, id definitely recommend you build upon it. Great work!
Thanks so much. I want to get this to a more complete state after the Jam voting closes and I am able to also include assets that are not free to use.
I don't understand the issue with the UI. It is set to scale with Screen Size. And it looks good when I run the WebClient locally. But when I run it remote it does not work well. Will need to debug this.

Really cool game, it's good to see those numbers poping up (makes you feel rewarded somehow).
It would be awesome if we could find powerups (diferent weapons - projectiles), yes I know we don't have time for that, but that's just an idea. lol
Nice Job!
Thank you for the review. Yes, there is no real game loop there yet. Take a look at https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2022/rate/1543450 they had a similar idea but a much more polished outcome.
But yes, ship upgrades are an essential part of the way I wanted to go later.
The game gets a bit boring after the first few minutes, there's not much to do after you blast all the meteors. The game looks great though, and the music is catchy, it takes a while to get old. There's no sound, it makes the game quite jarring honestly. The character movement feels super off too, you turn too slow and move to fast. I love the story though, it's unique and that puts it a cut above many of the other games released. It could've been much better regarding theme, a lot of the games took it literally, and I feel like the theme should be integrated as a gameplay mechanic and not just the story mechanism.
Thanks for the review. Yes, this project was way too big for a game jam. I would not consider it a game yet. The Asteroids won't respawn currently since I am only able to do an initial spawn and then the wandering 3x3 grid for the spawn areas was not finished. .. My main focus was learning new things and trying them out.
The controls feel a little sluggish, but it was intended to be an inertia-based game. Turning yourself is super easy, but changing direction is very hard.
But as said, there is not much of a game yet. :-) I am surprised about the no sound. I might need to upload a Windows build if the WebBuild has issues. There should be hit sounds when you hit an asteroid, the collecting sound sadly did not work.
Very satisfying feel to the controls and the moving background was a great addition.
