Good game! Lots of mechanics, and they work well together. It's maybe a little too fast for the genre, you don't have time to think. But overall is nicely done!
Good job really!

I enjoyed the mass movement of units in your game. I was working on something similar in mine. Giving your new character some room to breath after possessing him was a nice touch for playability. What would be nice next is a health meter and being able to take a couple hits before dying. Lots of neat ways to keep developing this game.
That was a nice little action-packed piece right there. Everything went so well together. The action was simple and fun, but there was a lot of depth when combined with the death mechanic. Having that shockwave upon death really opened things up and helped with crowd control and made time for you next soldier to dive into battle. Nice work!
Great little game. Sadly, I am too bad to get through it. Really great submission.
That was fun ! Loved the visual, effects, music and sounds. The mechanic of the game is really cool too. It would be great to see in the future archers and other characters that could be picked :)
Great work !
I love the combat and difficulty of this game! With a strategy and a couple of tries it is just a matter of time and practice before you manage to aniquilate the enemies a bit more efficiently. It's a pretty fun game ^-^
Sometimes during gameplay after the blue shock wave, the game got a bit too slow for a couple seconds before going back to normal, but that probably just happened because my laptop is old as hell haha >_<
But don't worry about it because what I meant to say with this, is that you did a great job by programming something that not only looks this good but that also runs pretty fine on outdated machines like mine, not everyone manages to do this \(^-^)/
Amazing job there!
Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed my little game!
Doing a little testing, it actually seems that in rare occasions there is an issue with the slowdown/speed up thing. I'm not 100% sure on why that happens, as I didn't really have time to troubleshoot that during the jam... but I may get back to it in the future (or, more likely, redo the whole thing over :D )
So..... CONGRATZ, you elicited a "Dieeee!" from me as I charged in with my last possession and no more energy. Loved your game. It me a second to actually figure out how to kill them but loved the melee combat in this. Then picking the right guy so you can carry on the carnage. Nice Job, loved this one!
Great little game, really tough though, I managed to get past the first lot of enemy's but without any health pickups or more solders on my side I died straight away.
I hope you keep working on, really good effort
This was a really cool concept and the graphics were nice, It was really hard and I couldn't beat it even after 3 attempts. I would have liked the attack to have a bit more reach, I think that would make it much more playable. Good attempt, keep at it!
The main idea is really good. I liked the atmosphere of the game when the combat started. It would have been cool to see it more polished, it can even become a full game with a lot of potential.
Some ideas that I think would suit it very well if you keep working on it or expand it:
- Improve the combat with different types of attacks and their stamina response with cooldown time.
- The possibility to dodge, parry or hold with the shield (maybe even a front line of heavy knights).
- That when any soldier falls, his corpse stays there without collisions, but to give the feeling of a real battle.
- It would be amazing to include other types of units archers, cavalry, spearmen, even artillery...
- It would improve the visual differentiation between enemies and allies.
I hope I'm not overwhelming and that you find the tips useful. Best regards!
Interesting mechanic, although I kept thinking I was being attacked by my own army upon revival. I'd also rework the health bar to make it a bit clearer as to what it represents.
Great work!
This was fun, the sound design added a lot to the feeling of being in a chaotic battlefield. I love the concept and I felt like a badass while also being quite fragile.
