Great job! Loved the story + visuals. And the news lower thirds were awesome to read.

That was a very creative interpretation of the theme. This is the only side-scrolling fighter I've ever seen in a jam. Very ambitious. Very funny premise.

It would've been nice if the mouse wasn't used to aim. I like fighting games and having to move the mouse pointer for facing was really hard to get used to. This also would have been a prime game to give controller support to. I also would've liked to have a health bar. The screen going red was helpful, but didn't really tell me who was hitting for what damage. Definitely felt swarmed. Never got off the beach.

Very cool idea.

This game totally reminds me of classic arcade game beat-em-ups!  The sound effects and music fit the game perfectly.  I did find the gameplay mechanics just slightly off though, but maybe I just lack skill at this type of game to make progress.  Good job for a solid gamejam entry!

Awesome visuals and idea here! Only wish is that there were some breakable background elements i.e. lampposts, the beach beds from the start. Other than that -  a really fun idea with plenty of room to be taken further! Nice one.

It blows my mind this is a jam entry. Very well done 👏👏

As others mentioned, restart didn't work for me playing in-browser. Super fun, funny, beautiful and exciting game, nice work!

Absolutely fantastic game, I enjoyed it so much! I also loved the paint the town red vibes. Beautiful visuals. 5 Stars hands down.

You can add more levels, weapons breaking after certain usage, and maybe upgrades, and bosses, similar to paint the town red imo.

The game fits the theme perfectly. The graphics are also great. Love it. The only thing I don't like is selecting the aiming direction with the mouse. "WASD" would fit perfectly fine.

Nice beat'em'up game! But restart doesn't work.

Well Blaze Ventura is my hero now, gave me some south park vibes great job was an incredible game. A little hard with the fist so would be nice for more weapon options rather than relying on pole microphone but if it works it works lol. Also the "R" to restart doesn't work on browser.

picked up the camera as a weapon and regretted it instantly. the golf clubs were way better. would be nice to drop weapons. nice submission!

Had to get a bit used to the turning, but I enjoyed it! It got stuck for me right at the start, where I went in to punch someone but I think a lot of punches of registered at once, as the game got stuck and kept replaying the SFX over and over very quickly (and I died, of course).
Second go through around, I made it to the end no problem!

Getting some Double Dragon vibes here, very nice. Sometimes when moving left the character does not turn to the left.
