The graphics are very smooth here and the game is a challenging one ! But I think the animation for when the player is dying distracts from the rest of the game
Thanks for playing and your feedback. We added an animation when close to death because without it we would die too much forgetting about it; might need to tone it down some or other indicators to remind the player.
nice and beautiful music, I only managed to survive for nearly 2 days it's a bit hard to survive more than that.
I don't think the gamepad works I tried the Ps4 gamepad and it didn't work, because there are a lot of keys using the keyboard, I thought using the gamepad would be a lot easier.
Hmm I will see if I can test a ps4 controller soon. Are you on Windows, Linux or Mac?
I know for sure that ps3 and Xbox controllers work. Most any gamepad should work as long as the OS you are using recognizes it and has some kind of driver for it.
I am on windows, and I already have a driver for it, I use it all the time so I don't know why it didn't work even though it's connected.
That was pretty fun! On my last attempt, I survived 3 days, and on the morning of the 4th day it said game over, but I still had some health and my alchemist friend was pretty happy, not sure what happened there.
I quite liked the animal companion! It said it healed, but I didn't notice any healing, though I did appreciate the company.
Sometimes the goblins came out of nowhere, seemingly right on top of me, and insta-killed me, I would have liked a little more warning, or if they'd only spawn off-screen.
I really liked the gamepad controls, they worked well, and the graphics were nice!
Thanks for all the feedback! I'm not sure what happened on the 4th day unless an Orc you didn't notice spawned close and got you? It's possible there's a bug but I haven't seen or heard of one like that yet.
Yes, the companion is one of, if not the best, feature so far I think! Where did it say the companion healed? I think that it just says it will collect reagents for you.
Yeah, the Orcs probably should spawn off of the screen...
Thanks!
Hmm, maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought it said it healed in the pop-up when I turned in the reagent and acquired the companion. I might have just misread though, as I was immediately distracted by the cute cat.
The other times I died from an orc, I at least saw the orc, and my health had been reduced to zero, this time I was sitting at the "you survived for 4 days, 0 hours" screen and could see I still had health.
Thanks for the info! Yeah that's odd about the You survived for 4 days, 0 hours message, but you still had health left. I'll check into that.
Still pretty RAW :) (sorry, bad joke). However, it looks very beautiful and I can see where this is going. Of course needs some more work. Besides the things which are not finished yet, I think it needs some balance, as it was quite hard to survive for a long time. Anyway, good start for a cool game.
Quite a challenging game. I really liked your interpretation of the theme - you really managed to make something unique with it. Good job :)
Thanks for your kind words. We didn't get a lot of time to tweak the values so even normal mode is based on our established way to stay alive (go as far right as you can and come back, then repeat). Companions make things a lot smoother; should probably have added an easy mode too that starts with more health.
It was quite difficult to survive in this game until I got the camp powerup. I managed to survive for 4 days. I think if there were clearer ways to tell if a reagent was common vs rare, like how some of them have circle highlights, it would help.
Thanks for trying it out and your feedback. It was even worse before the circles on the quest items. I like the idea of calling out juicy reagents in a different way; it would give some more conflict if you noticed one while running low on health too.
Awesome graphics and song! I've died many times haha seems like I need to keep practicing
haha It's fairly difficult even on normal.
Two tricks: Do kind of a loop from the top or bottom of map all the way to the right while collecting and come back bottom or top, opposite of how you came. Second, do the quests and get the quest rewards asap.
