This is crazy impressive, I don't understand how it's a jam game! Congrats!

Level design was very good but I think you overall look at lighting from scene view. There was a lot of overexposure areas in the game that would look good from far away.

I had some parts that this turns upside down and and game got very dark. Like black.

Now after this part I know you did not have enough time to finish the game and most of the things I will say will be answered by not enough time. I know and that is ok.

At my first play I only encounter 1 skeleton till the dragon part. After I killed the dragon I had no where to go and jump down to suicide. It was not the fall that killed me there was some creepy skeleton dudes in a circle doing some cult business.    Unlike the dragon who got the motto "Make love not war" this dudes were  serious and killed me.

After I re-spawn now the path to the dragon had the skeletons but this time I just dodge them and I just jumped down when I meet the love loving dragon.

This time the cult skeletons were not there and I go up in a corridor of prototype walls. Which lead to the dragon again, I killed him again and I guess there was no ending so that is the end of my play through.

I enjoyed the adventure. I wish dragon used protection.

Thanks for playing! We had a few last day problems to work out and we couldn't finish lighting, the dragon battle and the enemies that started not showing up, the original idea was that you get to the dragon, it's hard to beat (sadly not implemented aspect) the dragon makes you fall from the tower and you have to go back to fight it again. Credits should be after killing the dragon but they're not there. Hope you enjoyed the implemented parts!

That is actually a neat idea  to overcome death. With some other side story line It could be great.

Big download but wanted to give it a go :) Souls game are not my kind of game I get too frustrated aha. Some feedback:

- This could be completely irrelevant because I got a warning about my graphics drivers, but I had quite a low framerate for my GPU (RTX 2080) around 30~ FPS maximum

- The light transition between dark and light places seemed quite severe

- Small QoL suggestion maybe pressing E should take you out of the campfire almost like a toggle, I was trying to find a way to quickly get in and out of it.

- Going into the campfire, then pressing escape, then closing the settings menu means you can't access the campfire interface on the left

- I got 1 skeleton at the start, then no more enemies until the dragon at the end, perhaps I did something wrong?

It's cool to see games that pushed the month long timescale to its limit. There's a few games that are fun, but probably didn't push the time available as much as they could. This is one where you did though :)

Seems the fix I uploaded killed a few of the skeletons, there should be more! Thanks for all the sugestions and leting me know about that! We didn't had the time to optimize lighting and now need to wait. Will repackage the fix so the enemies show up! On the bright side you didn't get frustrated! Thanks for playing!

Sometimes I'm just amazed at the level of ambition for game jam games. This is genuinely wild. The sheer amount of assets loaded and placed in this game is insane. It's a super pretty game and the light effects are beautiful (even if they make my poor GPU cry). The gameplay is fun out but could use some hit reactions and a little refinement of animation. The level design is great, even has a fun little drop down and loop back. The audio design is nice too with a nice walk cycle and grunts. I really liked the main character's design as it strongly implies a time and place. Overall I'm really impressed with sheer scope of this game. It's clear there was some stuff that didn't get included/polished but it's a game jam and this is massively impressive for only a month. I would love to see this further refined, especially with interesting level design like this.

Thanks for playing! Really glad you enjoyed! It was a month of hard work! The original idea was that you would need to have skills to not fall from the tower during the dragon fight (could kill it and finish the game there without checking all the level), or after falling on the way back you would get stronger using Dragon Scales you would collect from enemies so the battle would be easier!

Hey Rico! We had some last minute packing problems for a full day, the file is up now, since it's a little bigger than usual there's also a video on the game page!
