very good I love the idea of not being able to jump

Great work on this. Fun puzzles but not super challenging. I liked the narrator's voice a lot and the art style was very creative. Adding in ladders was a nice way to add more depth. This style of puzzler takes me way back to when I was a little kid haha.

Keep up the good work!

Amazing! five stars! high-polished game, the puzzle is reasonable and fun to play.

I suddenly have a point if this kind of game can be made to be played by blind people as well. For GIFT there are already voice prompts, what if the blind player was told where the ladders are and where to place them in a voice format? And providing the player with a tool to be able to tell what the next pixel is made of by listening to the voice based on the number of pixel grids to know how to get through the level, could be an interesting idea.

Great that you liked it. I find your idea for blind players very interesting. I will try to incorporate something in the next versions.

I love simple things and this is a great puzzle game and impeccable declination of the theme! Great job :) I was able to play even though in my Chrome browser (I use a mac) the game didn't "scale" XD

Just curious: is there any feature that you had to cut due to time or other limitations? I opened a topic called "The Features Cemetery" and would love to get your input there!

Developer

Nice that you liked it. I also planned the absence of pipe sections (element where the player hangs) as a puzzle element.

Nice simple game! Made it to the end. I thought the art style was great and I enjoyed the levels. The clean design was nice, but I think it would be good to at least show that it is possible to reset the level with "R" (I just played another entry with that, which was the only reason I thought to try it). I enjoyed it! Good work!

Great game! It feels well polished and you did a great job at the level design. I just think a reset button or sth similar would be beneficial since at the second room I used the second ladder piece for the wrong one so I had to restart the whole game, but besides that nice work  :)

I definitely member Lode Runner and was the main reason I choose to play your game. Unfortunately the game is fps bound and I could not play it.

Developer

I apologize that you were unable to test the game. I will make an effort to improve it next time. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Good platformer! Small in size, you can quickly get to the end, with good art and puzzles, and the New Year theme pleased me :)

Having spent countless hours on the original lode runner on macintosh, I am in love with your game :) I wish there were enemies I could trap in holes in the ground! Beautiful animations / graphics, fun puzzles with the ladders, really enjoyed playing through this! Great job!

Developer(+1)

My first computer was also a Macintosh. 😊 Originally, the concept included enemies and the ability to make the ground blocks disappear. However, as the development progressed, I decided to add that as a puzzle element at the very end to align with the theme’s implementation (scaling difficulty). Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I had to leave it out.

that makes sense! let me know if you take the time to implement this, I'd love to play it once more :)

pretty cool, and interesting, never saw anyone using rust for a game!

Developer

thx for your comment, it is not my first game made in rust😉 Having a graphical editor, I find almost too boring.😏

very interesting take on the theme i like the idea of scaling the complexity a lot I haven't seen this in any of the other games I have played for this jam so far. I also like the choice of graphics and audio it feels nicely polished overall.

a simple but exceptionally crafted little puzzle platformer! the level design made learning new mechanics easy and extremely intuitive. the puzzles were easy enough to be challenging without being frustrating. the concept was very cute. overall, really really great job!!

The truth is that it's a very good puzzle game, with simple mechanics that are very well executed. It becomes very entertaining and interesting to play. Really great job ^^

Developer

Oh, thank you very much for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed it. In the pre-jam version, there are many more rooms and additional gameplay elements.
