I thought your game was neat! I've played minecraft a bit but never got into Terraria, but this feels like what I think it would be. I liked the pixel art and how the player's eyes follow the tool. I wasn't intimidated by the bouncing enemies at first but I kept getting overwhelmed by them. I suspect this game is a little more difficult with a touchpad vs a mouse? I had trouble running this on linux but it plays great with the windows version using wine. Cool game though! I have it in my games folder to dig deeper into it when I have time

Yeah, I think I messed up with the Linux build, because I forgot to export additional json file for the build, later will update when I have time after the jam is over. Also I have done some and currently still doing some improvements for now, but I always use mouse so that I didn't considered much on the touchpad, maybe could be the controls issue for some actions which haven't done much yet.
Anyway, thanks for your comment and feedback!
Hey! This is definitely one of the best games i played in this jam!
i was amazed that you went for procedural generation in such a short amount of time. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out the controls but after that everything clicked. The controls were just fine. The jump initially felt long but i realized after playing that is useful to be that way for climbing purposes. Actually placing stuff down to climb up was a bit hard so i mostly used the miner to break the ground and make steps for me to go up.
I managed to finish the game .. almost :P I managed to craft the parts i needed but the game crashed on me while i was trying to build my escape pod. It was not really clear what i had to do there as my first thought was i need to install those parts in the broken spaceship but this didnt work, so i thought maybe i need to build a new one.
I got the Boss, i crafted the MK2 miner which was very useful, the ultimate weapon and armor only the scientists have haha. From a design perceptive my advice would be to limit the how deep the player can fall down so it is easier to climb up, or even try to make the placing stuff a bit better so that you can jump and place things below you like you would do in Minecraft. i also noticed that crafting an item gave me x2 or x3 the item i clicked on so there could be an improvement too.
Honestly, one of the best games games i played so far that kept me enganged till the end! More people need to play this for sure!
Good job and keep it up! You got a nice base for a game here!
Yeah, there are many things need to be fixed or improved, actually I've already noticed some of the things that can cause bugs/crashes before submitting, but unable to do that due to some basic mechanisms done while having around under 5 days to submit and also have to add some contents for "end-game stage".
As for the crash while you're trying to fix the spaceship, you only have a thruster crafted in your inventory and you get close to spaceship and press E to fix, sadly that I can't reproduce this bug as you did and pointed out for now... The crafting system has a big flaw currently, it will iterate through your inventory and check if you have one of these resources, it will craft same item multiple times for you if you have more than one resource that is listed in that crafting recipe.
There are other things that you've pointed out such as to limit how deep the player can fall down and better placing blocks control, not sure if I'm mistaken your points, one approach I have think of is to control the way of the world generate so that it didn't vertical gap too much, the placing block control sure is not very convenient and I've yet to find out a way to fix it for now.
By the way, I'm really, really appreciated your comments and feedbacks you've given here, thanks for your playing!
Hey! I liked the premise a lot, though i couldn't figure out what the mechanics are ^^' i managed to dig a little, but couldn't understand what is the crafting you speak about in the game's description. So i visited a bit the environment and it was very nice ^^' overall feels great to explore this world!
The crafting panel appears when your character comes near to the malfunctioned ship at start(it appears at the middle left), and then you can gather resources with your starting mining tool and craft stuff. Thanks for your comment on this one though!
I should've given some instructions in my page before, will do it when I've time.
Controls were quite nice, really easy to get into
