Really cool music and interesting theme interpretation! I struggled a bit with the key bindings but I managed after a few tries.

I would love to be able to move the cursor while keeping a key pressed, instead of the need of repeatedly pressing them.

Very innovative, well done!

Thank you!
I wanted to let the player feel a bit exhausted after finishing the game for the end message. Thtas the reason for the spamming mechanic :)
But I'm very glad you liked it! :)

haha controls are funny!

once you get it though, it becomes a bit repetitive maybe a random succession on keyboard to hit would have been even more wacky

Thank you very much! :)

If you play on "Hard" you will need to enter a 3.digit random number, before loading the weapon, for extra cockpit-feeling :D

Controls really should have been WASD but its chill because I eventually got a hang of it and was able to get to the bubbles pretty fast.

It was cool seeing a game take the approach of the moon being the one to do the shooting. Also it was cool to see a game have such a big focus on the keybooard. it really added to the difficulty so good job with that!

Thank you for your feedback and for wearing your mask (your profile pic)! :D

I wanted to try something new with the controls and was curious about the outcome! I'm very glad to see, that you liked the focus on the keyboard and would love to see more of this in other games! If you liked the mechanic or the idea, feel free to use it in your games. :)
I would be very honored! :)

Thanks again for playing it and have a nice day! :)

Cheers,

Dom

Just finished with a score of 46,919 (took half an hour) and the game was indeed quite exhausting to play, but certainly fun! Good presentation and opening cutscene (though no exit button on the main menu?). I also enjoyed the music and sound effects, really made me feel quite immersed (especially the siren going off). On my monitor (ultra widescreen, with windows scaling on) some of the tutorial buttons were a bit cut off. I actually quite liked the control scheme after getting used to it, made it feel a bit like a simulation of some mechanical turret being aimed manually (maybe it would have been cool to show some mechanism reacting to the tapping of the keys and it jamming for instance when you press both keys simultaneously). Unfortunately I wasn't able to read most news headlines, too busy concentrating on aiming (maybe you could pause the game for a few seconds to flash the headline, but that might go against the game's message).

All in all, very nice game!

Thank you very much for your informative feedback and congratulations on your score!
I'm pleased to read, that you enjoyed it as much, as I, while making it! :)
In the middle of the project, i had a similar idea of displaying some kind of heavy mechanical canon, to underline the manual control and the self-made machine feeling without fancy all-in-one-"fire"-buttons. But I had to cut off some ideas due to the time limitation and my moderate expirience.
But i learned a lot in this jam and will improve until next time! :)
Hope to see you again sometime! :)
Cheers,

Dom
