Super impressive amount of polish. I wished the camera showed a bit more of what's in front of the ship, but great job nonetheless !

Developer

thanks! :)

Yea... Cinemachine camera did weird things in build only and I didn't have time to debug (WebGL builds taking forever... Need to implement some debug handles inside build to tweak).   New build addresses camera look ahead, zoom, and a toggle for the low-res mode.

This was very satisfying to try out. Though I do feel like the robot that you control should have had more armour. Nonetheless, everything is perfect in this game for it being made in 6 hours. Outstanding!

Developer

Thanks! :)

I took advantage of this being my first fngj and scoped everything for 6 hours per the restriction this time.

There's a new build with some tweaks from the feedback here staged for when I can upload!

I really liked the responsiveness of the controls, there was a bit of a learning curve to properly fly the ship but when I got over it, it felt super fun. Personally, the camera was too zoomed in for the amount of space that the character takes on screen, I feel like this also caused the pixel graphics to sometimes just look faded or washed into the background, so zooming out would be a lot more enjoyable to me. Overall very impressive and fun.

Thanks :)  The control responsiveness is what I remembered the most from the original game - no matter how aggravating heh.

The camera zoom was pretty broken by something in the Builds only :(   I didn't have time to debug.   I will definitely post a patched one (and a toggle for Pixel vs Normal mode - there are no sprites in this game at all :P )

Yea the controls are definitely what jumped up at me the most, good stuff! Ah I feel that, I tried to transition my submission to html5 and half the game broke so these things happen, glad to hear I might be able to try this zoomed out someday :)

As soon as the voting period is over push some updates :)   Literally prevented from uploading during heh.

I liked the super low res art style and the movement was really fun. It was little hard to dodge enemy fire and tell where enemies are coming from. I think either adding some more indicators or zooming the camera out a bit more would help.

This game...I gotta say it was pretty interesting. Of all the games I played in my childhood, I haven't really played a game like this before and it seems really unique to you. I kind of felt the controls were kind of hard to move when it came to steering. (I almost thought I had to bounce and it took me a bit to realize I can fly XD) Overall, the game was pretty nice and quite different to play! If you don't mind me asking, what was this game actually called?

An old demo scene Sega Genesis/Master System game.   Its controls were even harder lol.

Thanks for the comments! :)
