Notes (optional)
one of our last names is Fish so like, what more do you need?
play this game however you want, we are super duper proud of it and think we have made a nice way to spend some time. Go nuts with strategizing how to catch the most fish, click the days away listening to the game, no wrong answers.

This is a full game. there is a lot going on here in a really good way.  I like that there is no right way to play.  Just play and learn as you go! Even so I found that the strategy was very engaging!

Very cozy with the art and  music. I like the strategy with just a touch of luck.  It's fun reading all the names of fish and getting to talk to the guy again. Definitely played this submission a lot.

Loved it! Such a relaxing chill game. Nice music, good art and layout and the no wrong way to play approach definitely made took away the anxiety I normally feel in card games when I start wondering if I'd misplayed or did something sub-optimally. Being able to power up your rods with the fish you caught was also a great design choice so you never feel like you've decked out and have no more moves to make. I think some nice sound effects when you snag a big one or when they bump into the bobbers would add another level of satisfaction onto this already awesome game. Good job!

Pretty relaxing. I think the pixel art font doesnt really go well with your doodle artstyle and a bit hard to read, but other than that is a good game. I loved the sound effect and the "no wrong way to play" design, like other commenters mentioned. Good work!

Very enjoyable and relaxing :)

It was pretty easy to understand after a little bit of trial and error. I like how the game doesn't really punish you for playing "badly". You can just increase your success with strategic play, but there's no real failure state. That's pretty fun and keeps the game relaxing and low stakes.  The strategic decision-making was also fun, especially with the introduction of Big Fish.

I got to the open ocean and kept wanting to play!

Yeah "no wrong answers" was a huge tenant that we wanted to maintain. Playing with the music is honestly my favorite way to play haha

I played this game for some time and it helped me unwind after a stressful day. (It's 11pm as I'm writing this) The bird ambience is really calming. The guitar notes as you place down your cards and the drum when you end the turn are a creative idea really add to the experience. I noticed that the red numbered fishes were not getting caught even when reduced to 0 and moved on top of the fishing rod card, but there might've been a mechanic I missed. The doodley art is cute! Overall a very cozy experience.

Heck yeah, glad you could get some unwinding out of this, that's really the goal :)

I like the tension between playing all my cards and trying to have cards for later in the day. The way the fish move about is also interesting for trying to layout the right board. Interesting concept! It’s hard to strategize around, but since there aren’t major consequences, it’s also not frustrating. Nice job!
