  • REally liked the mood and the art style. I got stock tho, but it might have bugged on me, I would collect the kind of spray and it wouldnt end up in my inventory, I was unable to figure out how to get to the basement, it feels like I was supposed to use the cool hat, but I could reach the basement without wearing the glasses. im not sure what I was supposed to do. Great mood, great art, cool grimmy feel.

Very cool experience, definitely pulls you into its mood. The text slowly garbling if you read for too long is a great effect.

thought the basement is the end? Leaving me hanging there. . .

I like the text scrambling effect how did you do that?

Developer(+1)

My teammate really killed it on the art, yeah. There is an ending screen after the basement that you get to by interacting with the pipe. And the message object keeps two versions of the current message: the source string, and the string it draws to the screen. At random intervals it'll loop through the display string, with a small chance to replace each character with a random one or a larger chance to revert to the original character. Thanks for playing!

Awesome, so creepy I'm scared to finish 10/10

Art direction was very cool and audio was super fitting

Manages to achieve an unsettling vibe unlike anything I've seen in a while; felt like I was getting a glimpse at someone's broken psyche after waking up from a coma. That said, I'm not entirely sure how it's meant to tie into the "expand" theme.

Developer(+1)

I realized a few minutes after submitting that the word expand is only explicitly mentioned in one message that is functionally illegible (lmao) but I'm glad we nailed the vibe at least :)

Right up my alley. Very unnerving. The lo-fi graphics really sold it along with the text box effect.

Glad you liked it! Happy to be the bad ending to your game's good ending lmao

Love the unique art style & intense music. The art and sound combined achieved a very spooky and uncomfortable atmosphere, well done! The story was well written and interesting, plus the words flickering was a cool effect that worked well with emphasising the idea.

minor feedback: when clicking the items on the couch, it also plays the line for gazing at the couch. Also I wasn't sure if this is intended but I couldn't pick up the cleaning bottle in the kitchen.

Overall, this is a super polished game and cool experience. Very impressive work :)

Glad you enjoyed it!! Yeah, the couch thing showed up in the HTML build about 10 minutes to jam end, and I'm not sure why lmao. I'll pass along the compliments on the art and music to my teammate!
