  • Cool idea for the theme. I feel the ball was falling too fast, to the point where I just couldn't aim at anything or make any real decisions. It felt mostly like luck. Nice entry tho.

I love the idea, very unique!

My best time was 1:52. Definitely feels like a first game with how simple it is, but pretty good by that standard! My main critiques are that it's easy to softlock as people have said, and the falling speed can be so fast that it's hard to see what's below you. It's fun for what is is though.

The idea is unique. Good small game

Got softlocked a couple times, but for a first game, this is very cool :D

Cool concept and fantastic work!
For this being your first game, I'm excited to see what ideas you have and projects you do next!

Awesome !

The concept is good and fun. Nothing wrong with the visuals or the sound but I feel like the game could have used some more time in the oven, unfortunately. Play testing for another hour would make certain bugs obvious in my opinion. Unlucky pin spawns can lock the ball in at least 3 separate ways.

  1. The ball can expand into one or more red pins and immediately go out of bounds.
  2. The ball can just become stuck between multiple pins
  3. Because the pins and the walls are too bouncy, the ball can get stuck bouncing between a pin and the wall even though there is enough of a space between them.

Things like despawning pins that are in contact with the ball for too long or teleporting the ball back in bounds if it goes out of bounds would improve the game by leaps and bounds.

I still like it a lot overall.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I do wish I had a little bit more time to refine it, but I ended up having to travel around the midway point of the jam so I pushed to get it done by then. If I revisit this concept in a future game I'll definitely try implementing some solutions for those issues.

The concept is really cool! Love the sound fx for when you hit the pins. Music was nice and fit the mood, but a little  too short of a loop so started to feel repetitive after playing a couple minutes.

Really well done for a first game! I got 1:23!
