Cool idea. It definitely could use some SFX and music. The player/enemy could use some movement animations. Enemies should keep spawning. Curious to see where this goes.

Great concept with a lot of potential! The controls and leveling system are good and it was fun to throw down boxes and be able to break them again also. I would be very interested to see this game when its fully developed, Keep up the good work!

Interesting game concept but too easy as you can outrun your enemies. Could use different types of those, less speed and some kind of mini Boss when reaching a totem to light it.

Developer

Yep the only difference on the enemy right now is the damage, probably going to add more variety in the speed and also type of enemy. And I actually never thought of a mini boss before thank you for the suggestion!

Overall good game. It's just that I think the enemies are a little bit stiff. Would recommend adding some movement patterns to enemies and also getting them from standing still when out of range.

Developer

Yes, the enemy right now just kinda move to the player while in range. I'm probably gonna add more advanced movement later on the future. Thank you for the feedback!

I like the idea, could use some more impact when the blade slices through the enemies though.

Developer

Totally going to add that later! Thank you for the feedback!

Nice game, I think the sword slash wrapping around the player  is cool and and the upgrade system was intuitive.

Thank you for the feedback! :D

I liked what you did here! I like the looks quite a lot, and the mechanics work very well! I loved the idea of placing boxes to get a tactical advantages, but unfortunately you cannot use them for much right now (maybe they could be used to hide behind if there are ranged enemies?).

When I just started the game I was not sure what I was supposed to do, so I just started to randomly walk around a bit. I was happy to find some enemies I could fight :D Then I thought it was just an infinite arena kind of thing, but when I found one of the pillars I knew something more was up :P In the end I found all four pillars and finished the game!

In hindsight I now see the paths that are supposed to lead you to the pillars, but to me they were not very clear when I first played (but that might just be me). Besides that, I think a bit more feedback to the player could be nice. Such as sound effects or some flashy particles when you kill an enemy.

The upgrade system was cool as well (I just upgraded my sword to the max, and that seemed to work pretty well!), but you have to be careful not to accidentally click on it. On the other hand, it was really big and clear, so there was no doubt about what it meant.

Very nicely done, and a great submission to the jam! Thank you for making it, I enjoyed it :D

Developer

Yeah the game is still really lacking visual feedback,  Going to add that later. Thank you for the feedback! :D this really made my day

Seems to me like the game is still in development. But the idea is nice and I can image this game to be fun to play when it's finished.

Thank you for the feedback!
