Cute gameplay and graphics :) I think it would be better if the player's position was more centered in the game world, giving them more area to view and find different animals. But overall, great job! The camera controls were a bit rocky at first but worked better in full screen. I liked everything in the game so far and feel this could be expanding upon for a full length game.
What a fun and cute idea for a game! I love photography & nature games, so this was perfect for me. I liked the idea of having to photograph each animal in different states, that added some additional challenge. I did have some problems with the camera controls though. The cursor wasn't locked in the middle of the screen, and I could only move the camera (zoomed in) while my cursor was in the camera viewport. I think it might have been easier to find the animals if I didn't have this issue. The game looks very cozy and colorful, which I liked a lot. There did seem to be some shader issues, with animals being part invisible, but that's wasn't really a problem. Congrats on finishing this game! This could be really fun if expanded upon into a full game :) Thanks for participating in the jam!
thank you so much! I ended up only having a day but I'm happy with what I was able to squeeze in. Most of those bugs are from the rushed webgl build (cursor, shader issues). thanks for taking the time to play it :)
I really enjoyed not only being able to snap photos of animals but wait for certain moments in their behaviour patterns! There is also a sense of excitement and achievement when collecting various types of these photos. I can definitely see the similarities between our games when it came to recording things in a journal! :)
I found that playing on full screen really helped in noticing the Intro and Journal menu when I pressed 'F' because for a while I only thought it was displaying instructions - other parts of the UI that would benefit from being more clear would also be the drop down menu for the animals, I feel. Last additional feedback might be that when in camera mode, there's a certain amount of area I can only go left and right which feels quite restricting :) Overall well done though, very fun indeed!
Now I got it :D got all the photos. Cute game. The camera was a little hard to aim since the center of the camera was not tied to my cursor, but maybe that's only the html buil

Really nice game. Wished there were more animals to take pictures of.
The cursor wasn't locked to the center which kinda added to the difficulty.
Peaceful game - the older camera / picture-taking effects were very well done.

Very cute idea! I included it in my Cozy Spring Jam 2023 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look!

Hey thanks this is all awesome feedback, I completely agree about the journal stuff! Thanks again :)
I can't play it and I'm not sure what file type that is :( I hope I get the chance to try it later if there's an html or windows version
you should be able to unzip it, but I'll tryo to upload a direct windows version / webgl version
fixed it by uploading a web build :)

yeah it looks like a weird bug in the html build, nevertheless thanks for coming back and trying :)
