- The personality really shines through in this roguelike, its a good first game jam game!!
- Love the glowing effects and modifier system! Helps out those who struggle more than others (me) while keeping things interesting. Not very clear how to get past the spikey ball guy, though! Bit of visual and audio fatigue with effects, but nothing too overwhelming. Good job!
- I think the idea of keeping your upgrades from previous lives is really cool, although sometimes the game could feel pretty unfair until you get certain upgrades, especially with the low starting fire rate. But overall, I really like the concept and I think it was executed really well.
How does the game fit into the theme?
The shredder wall forces you forward. All player upgrades carry forward. Even death makes the game easier and pushes you forward.
What premade assets did you use if any?
Royalty free music and some basic UI health bar animators.
What are the Discord usernames of everyone on your team?
Tetratoric
Did you use MiniScript for your entry?
No
Did you use Playroom for your entry?
No

Great game super addicting, the mouse controls are a little sticky in the beginning but as you increase shooting speed it fixes itself
Thank you! Can you describe what you mean by sticky a bit more? (Gonna fix some things in a future update)
yeah just felt like my bullets were shooting very very very slightly after i clicked so it wasnt as responsive
Might be because I instantiate the bullets at the center inside the player instead of the edge of the pointer, should be an easy enough fix I hope.
The fail forward death mechanic is actually genius innovation (I certainly haven't seen it before), its an amazing tool for adaptive difficulty that more games should use! Good players get a harder game, and newbies get to slowly tailor the difficulty to themselves. Not a bug but I was able to shoot the boss outside its aggro radius once so maybe make them trigger if they get damaged. Otherwise really fun game with sleek minimalist design, keep up the good work! Also loved how at a certain attack speed, the attack sound was like a steady synth beat xD
Thanks! Funnily enough it was originally inspired by that Minecraft voting update as an April Fools joke a while back. I decided to basically just give each thing a benefit and negative, and then the idea to remove the negative stemmed from there.
Yeah the bosses have a few issues, I didn’t have enough time to implement that unfortunately, but I may fix it in a future update.
This game is amazing! The geometry style art it really nice to look at, and the gameplay is really interesting. Love it!
Your game is everything my game was trying to be in terms of game design - it is amazing.
I love the deep house/futuristic sounds and tracks
Everything is super polished
Honestly, I have no feedback, you've got it in the bag hahahaha
really fun game! the upgrade system makes it almost like a roguelike. i love the pressure that the purple wall adds as well. you created a really fun and polished gameplay loop! i'll come back to replay this one for sure!
Amazing game! The game has just enough upgrades and style that keeps you wanting to make it to the end. I caught myself saying "this is the run" a few times. Definitely an A rated GameJam game. KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
WE ONLY LIKE SPEED! Gameplay feels fantastic, game is easy to pick up and hard to master!
love the look and feel of the game!
Damn the feedback is AWESOME!
Really addicting gameplay! I'm a sucker for bullet hells and rogue likes, haha. The UI is smooth, and the graphics are simple but satisfying. Well done!
