Challenging game! I included it in my compilation video series for the Clicker Jam Spring, if you’d like to check it out. :)

Oddly satisfying!  The choice for sound could make or break the game, but in this case it works really well.  Procedurally-generated bubbles are pretty.

At level 235 I'm getting over 27k per hit, leveling only costs 2350, and it hasn't gotten any harder.  Starting around level 20 I was gaining a level every click - I think your scaling needs some fiddling with.  By the time I quit I was pulling in eight or so levels per bubble click.

Without any penalty for inaction, the "correct" way to play seems to be to wait until bubbles are already overlapping and click there.  That has zero risk, and with the explosive leveling starting around level 20 the whole enterprise starts feeling kind of safe and like success is a foregone conclusion.

It is impressive how quick you put it together - I think with half that time again spent refining it you'd have a real contender here.

lol I didn’t even get this far in my own playtests. You are too good! And thank you for playing! I only joined the jam on the last day and had only 3 hours for my entry, so I didn’t have time to play it much to find any balance.

3 hours? Extra points for you this is amazing for 3 hours!

Developer

Thank you! Indeed I joined the jam when there was 4 or so hours left, but then I spent too much time doing other things and only truly had 3 hours time to do something. This was the first thing that came to mind.

That is a rather unique idea! I like your take on the theme. The controls feel direct. I recommend playing with a hardware mouse (instead of a touchpad). The sound effects are motivating and I could imagine that this can be expanded into a rather nice full game. Great job!

Thank you for the nice words and for playing! The game’s actually too hard for me and I have never reached level 10 on it myself (I’m too impatient to wait for the overlapping bubbles) and apparently there are some balancing issues later on if you manage to survive long enough.

No game is ever perfect and given the limited time in a gamejam making something one can be proud of is a very hard task. Don't take it too hard. One of the biggest advantages of gamejams is that one can practice making games in a safe space with minimal effort. As I said before, great job! :)

Nice Game! The idea has a lot of potential!

Thank you! I just put together whatever came to mind first.

Really good! Especially in 3 hours. The sounds are simple and satisfying, and its fun!

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback! I just went with the first idea that came to mind, because there was only 3-4 hours left on the timer when I joined the jam. Had to commit to the first baby.

pretty soothing game. feels good to get some of the smaller and fast ones. i tried the windows build and everything was working, including the background

Developer(+1)

😊 Thank you so much for playing the game~! I’m so glad to hear that the background works at least on the downloadable version. Yay! I used a special gradient filter for the background, but it looks like it caused issues with the web build. Oh well, no worries! I’ll just have to try another method next time to make sure all the features work perfectly. 🌈
