Did you use the Additional Theme(s) ?

The Addition Theme(s) where used!

Give a quick overview of your game, and how you worked the theme into it.
In the heart of a forest, a raccoon stumbles upon a deck of cards near a trash can. Unaware of their power, when he touches them the whole forest gets destroyed. He now has to use their power to restore the forest to its original beauty. Will he succeed?

Players' goal is to play Terrain and Animal cards in a forest consisting of hex spaces. Each card has rules for placement that need to be followed. Cards placed on a location where they should not be, yield penalty points while cards placed correctly yield positive positive points. The additional fast-paced theme is included by adding time pressure to the game. Every 10 seconds, one card from the deck is destroyed, meaning the faster the player plays, the more cards they can play during the game and the more points they can potentially gain.

Very interesting approach. The rules are simple enough to understand but complicated enough to provide a challenge. The art is very pleasant, although at times, it seems like some elements don't quite fit together - which is understandable if you have two artists on the team. It would also be great to see some minor animations or visual effects like particles instead of just a red indicator. I would love to see what else you can do with this idea. I think it's worth continuing the work on this project after the game jam, and I would happily track your progress. Great job!

Interesting concepts. The only input I have is if you made it so I could read all my cards the one middle card was in the way often. Every thing else seemed to work as it was supposed to even having the time it was a chill game.

I overall liked the game. The only problem is i dont like this type of board game, but even then it was fun. The way you implemented the themes made total sense, the gameplay is ok, feedback

Thanks for the nice feedback and taking the time to try it even knowing it might not be your genre of choice. Not all genres work for everyone.

Cool gameplay and implementation of the theme! Well done! с:

Nice game! Yeah that raccoon shouldn't be there

Nice art.

The cards scale with screen size so if I play normally on the web window it's very hard to see the grid behind cause the cards are too big. If I play maxed, the card size only changes when I get new cards in that specific slot.

Would be nice to have a card reveal effect when hovering over cards, or bringing the hovered card to front to make the UI more intuitive.

This game is awesome, I don't really get the correlation with the theme, but maybe that's just me being picky. I really like what you guys have made!

Hi thanks for the feedback. Basically the raccoon touches these magical cards and the forest get destroyed, so the raccoon shouldn't be here! Also if you don't place correctly the cards...well shouldn't be there. Fast paced is also used because you don't have much time to play the cards and the game punish you if you wait to long

The art is really on point in this one! I would say the hex tiles were hard to see I would make them easier to see where the hex grid is at a glance.
