Art looks nice, but lack of sounds and music make it harder to absorb. SFX, even if it's generated by chiptones or from some online free resources could make a great difference! I'm not sure if the level at current state has any exit - I didn't find one. Two types of enemies is interesting, I think the level design should exclude too large areas for sections with the walking ones. The combat, sadly is non existent, but there is some concept sticking out from around the corner - the sword should swing further, the enemies could take knockback damage. Nice effort! Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for the feedback! I agree with you completely. We wanted to add a lot, but, unfortunately, we didn’t have time. We recently published a post about this, you can read it (little self-promotion :DD). Thanks for taking the time to play! ^^
Beautiful art style
Thank you!
Oh wait you can attack, let me try this again
I don't understand why my attacks don't hit 95% of the time
Great Art though
Yes, there are problems with the combat. To deal damage to an enemy, you need to stand very close to him. All enemies have a lot of HP and damage, and there is no feedback whether the damage has passed or not. We didn't have enough time to do it better (the programmer's first game). But thank you very much for paying attention to our game!! ^^
I see, I was so used to enemy getting one shotted in my games that I forgot to account for it having health hahaha.
Also for a programmer's first game I see this as a win 😁
Heh thanks! :P
Hey, Nice art style! Good work on it!
Thank you so much!! We tried really hard!
Lovely art style.
Have a couple gripes with the mechanics and game itself.
Judging the art of the character I feel the game should've stayed top down, would've been more interesting with timed attacks play through their animations fully, rather than a floaty 2d game with an attack that can be increased with an auto-clicker or how quickly you clicked.
The enemies look nice but with the current movement the ground enemies are way too fast and annoying to hit from above them. No visual or audio feedback like hit-stun or whiting/reding up the enemy to indicate they have been hit, or a health bar on them to follow how healthy they are and they are too healthy for my taste (the hp bar is optional tho, just needs receptive hit feedback).
Thank you very much for your feedback! Very valuable feedback! I completely agree with you. Ideally, I wanted to do all this from the beginning, but, unfortunately, this is our programmer’s first game, so the code was difficult for him. If we decide to continue developing this game, we will definitely fix all this and make the gameplay more enjoyable and clearer! ^^
Nc game and nice Art.
Thank you very much for your feedback! ^^
love the art style.
Thanks!!
I like the approach of the theme of your game. Also cool art!
How can I attack the monsters? The attack animation is executed, but it doesn't look like it's doing damage.
Thank you very much for your feedback! We are very pleased!
To attack monsters, you need to click LMB next to them and have the character point at the monster. The attack works, the monsters are just fat (very..............) :DDD
