Really impressed by your game, love the artwork! Think you would be a great fit for the Italian game jam we are hosting. If you are interested you can check it out here: https://adrenalinerush.gamejam.it

Keep up the good work!

Top tier visuals, and tbh completed it on my first try, so not too hard.

Some areas of improvement:

Cute visuals, though I do have to echo the lack of sound effects and the fact that you can bypass the player’s low rate of fire by mashing the button instead. It would feel better if the player could shoot much faster by default.

IT LOOKS AWESOME :)

Audio also cute ;)

Being a bullet hell the player should be a big powerful stream of shots when I press space :)

Patterns are cool, there should be a possibility to slow down the player, as in a CAVE game.

Cute visuals but pretty hard, some sfx would be awesome. Anyways, i liked it afterall!

it's soooo cute, but maybe a little too hard. It would have been nice to have some sfx, like one for each pattern the boss does, or when you get hit, to make think clearer.

the boss attack are impossible to react to. how are u suppose to dodge the attack when its just go at high speed u could make it slower or make the boss has anticipation before attacking. anyway overall the sprite is cool its really cute and axotl look cool. anyway its a decent game

Yeah we noticed it too, but since we actually beat it just a couple times and bullet hells are supposed to be hard we figured out we'd just leave it like that. Thanks so much for the feedback!!!

Actually I want to expand on this. We all just finished a game development/concept art school that lasted 6 months and this is our first ever project outside of school and previously we had 0 experience with making an actual game. We actually thought of having the boss have different animations and anticipations before shooting the patterns but we also wanted to have the core mechanics ready as soon as possible. This process took us some time as we are unexperienced so we had to cut out some fluff (not saying the fluff would have been useless as it would have made for a really cool game for sure). Anyway we are really happy and satisfied with how the project came out and we learned so much during this week! We cant wait to participate in other fun jams!!!

oh i see well hope u do better in the next jam, good luck :D
