good potential but a little too difficult to get into for me. the low contrast between the floor and bullets probably had a lot to do with that. otherwise, do we need to slay enemies to find the keys (i never found one) or do we need to explore more to find them?
Sorry for that, I'll try to improve the visibility and make the combat more friendly in the coming patch. You need to slay the big mage-looking enemies to get the keys.

Thank you for playing! I sadly ran out of time to implement those. They are tied to animations and all of those were implemented in the last 15 minutes before uploading. I'll make sure to implement it in the coming update, along with iframes.
Great entry! It fits the theme well. I agree that it would be nice to move while attacking or atleast have the hitbox for the attack be generous if not. I would also suggest making the bullets a brighter color. For visually impaired people, they are quite hard to see on the dark background.

It is a little bit annoying that you can't move while attacking...
Apart from that, this is not a bad game. The graphics look good, the music is good and I personally really like top down games.
Glad you enjoyed it. Maybe a different type of attack can be implemented in the future, one with more mobility and one that is heavier and locks you into an animation, but rewards you with better damage.
Pretty cool game ! The random room generation is impressive. You mentionned it in another comment, but I think the game really neeed iframes. Currently you basically get one-shot since enemies have such dense bullet patterns ^^’ You could also make the bullets more visible, with higher contrast. Other than that, well done !
I plan on adding those in the future, sadly ran out of time, but there will definitely be an update to make this more playable. For the level generation I think displacing premade rooms would make the game a lot more fun, since you can get stuck with an annoying enemy in a tiny corridor and have to reload it.
This was a real challenge to me, but I do like challenges! Great job!
