I can tell you had a ton of fun making this game and it really gave an enjoyable experience! I’m not super well versed in the RPG Maker community, but I recognized some of the bigger names. Despite my ignorance, the characters were all fun and their personalities came through.
Some small critiques. During battles, it sometimes seemed as if the party was placed too high on the battle background, as some of the characters were on the wall. The echo boss battle was a bit tough, but not frustratingly so. I think I won on my 3rd try.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this. The combat was challenging, but not frustratingly difficult. The escape function made it so you can skip a battle if you’re not in the mood. I also enjoyed the thematic move sets, as they really showed how much effort you put into the game. Thanks for the fun game!
Wow, Life, this game is rather well done considering how short a development cycle it had! I love the community representation in here and always find it amusing when someone puts me in their game. The writing is fun and silly with dialogs that don't overstay their welcome. The skills are customized to fit the game and represent their corresponding characters well. Even the mazes were challenging without being too hard to figure out. About my only complaints have to do with the last battle: it's a bit too easy, and there are many AoE spells by this point but there is only one enemy, effectively negating their usefulness.
This is a fun, funny game that is also a cool nod to the community. Thanks for the entry!
As always, if you are looking for a fun game, go visit Life´s Shop. I had so much fun!! I love the details you placed in the community members(Like Legna´s avatar or HA heterochromia). I never played a game with Maze dungeons and I enjoy it, cause it makes for a super easy navigation. I lost 2 members (Sorry Humand and Real Tron). great job!
I'm in it, 5/5 stars.
Super fun! I like how you made it so all the best-looking members of the community are found first to guarantee people will keep playing. Writing was pretty funny, and I liked the bosses. Combat could have used a liiiitle more variety but if this took 14 hours, that's awesome. I was also able to play from beginning to end without anything game breaking, so awesome job!
Maze dungeons, while convenient, are super unfun in my opinion. I hope I didn't leave any community members behind! I had one character perma-die (really sorry about that Corey), but overall it wasn't too tough. Boss battles felt a little tough compared to the mobs, as a single unprepared turn means a lot of dying.
Not too hard to get OP. Once you find the gun store, it's pretty much over for all your enemies (lol). If you had more time, a few changes would have really made the experience awesome:
- Maps that aren't horrible mazes
- Enemy variety
- Battle balance
Even as it was, I had a ton of fun, so thanks for submitting!
Enjoyed the idea and story very much. :)
hah! So meta...but that isn't a big surprise considering 'Hero' :)
I like that you made the slimes strong, the first fight against them with just Drifty and Tea I was way overconfident and got smoked. It's about time slimes toughened up, they've been underestimated for far too long!
Played this because I'm it. Mastapiece.
Your intro was catchy, I liked that.
