This is a great concept! It definitely needs a tutorial (I only learned how to play by reading other comments), but I like the idea. I found it quite difficult; I only managed to get past a few of the horned enemies before I had to give up. Controlling the balls was tricky and the horned enemies were a bit frustrating to get past, but the snakes were fun. I think it would benefit from a more lenient outside-the-light check and more feedback that you are about to go outside of the light. The visuals and music are solid though. Nice work!

How does you game fit the theme?
if you're alone (or in game with no monsters in the light) you are teleported to the last checkpoint.

some references for code were used and the font used is "Thaleah" by Tiny Worlds
