How does you game fit the theme?
You can't see half the level until you sleep in the bed, allowing you to see what "isn't real". You then have to follow your dream self across the invisible parts of the level to win.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code was written from scratch except for the character movement script and the script used to manage the sound. The sprites for the keys in the how-to-play menu are also repurposed sprites from previous projects. They are still my assets though.

The gameplay could be polished, there were some frustrating control moments for me. The game is fun and challenging. :) Well done!

Fun game, very challenging. At the beginning it wasn't too obvious what you needed to do, but I was kind of fast to figure it out.

Like a lot the fact that you can jump less or more depending on the amount of time you press the space bar. Nice assets. Like the background music and sfx except for the one when you die, and you will die a lot in these kind of games.

The only things that I found really annoying where the lack of coyote timing and that standing on the platforms didn't take you with them (you still need to follow them). Also, in my opinion the obstacle colliders need a little bit decreased.

Cool game concept, Just needs more polishing

Mimimimim... BWAH! Cool concept. Would have been cool if the plattforms actually moved you. Also gets pretty frustrating towards the end when you have to wait that long.

The levels themselves could use some work, but the mechanic that drives the level design is really good. Funny enough, the fact that the platforms don't move the character along with them almost makes it more interesting lol

Very cool concept! The level design can be improved and the moving platforms should move the player, especially when you can't see them. I think this concept has great potential :)

Art is cool but game is really hard

Neat idea, and i like how you added the ghost to help you navigate through the level. It's different from other similar platforms i saw. However, accidentally pressing W after dying is very punishing, the moving platforms are weird, and the level design can be improved. Couldn't reach past the level with the moving crystals (can be because i suck).

Thanks for the feedback!  I realize there were issues with resetting the ghost on accident, and I probably should've been a bit more generous with the moving platforms.

The mechanic of saving dream movement was awesome

Glad you liked it!

The concept of sleeping->following self was really interesting, it's a nice usage of the theme! I also liked funny character design and sound effects. However there were too many waiting moments for platforms to come, and later level designs are quite unfair since player has to go through invisible obstacles in order to get to bed. I think this can be a great game with better execution, nice work :)

Developer

Ya, that's fair.  I had a button to call the moving objects in the game but I barely used it.  I also agree that the invisible objects could be annoying.  Glad you liked the concept anyways!

Very good idea! At the start it wasnt very obvious what you were meant to do but once you found out it was very fun :)

Thanks!  I did realize that I probably should've added what to do in the how to play menu after I finished the game.
