In what way does your game fit the theme?
A take on the unpredictable 3-body gravitational problem in chaos theory. The gameplay also gets chaotic fairly quickly if you lose control.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all assets including the music track which is based on a line from Jupiter - The Planets by Holst.

Awesome game! I really like the music and art, as they fit the game perfectly. I had some trouble moving the ship around, though I guess that's the point... Anyways, I got a best score of 10, which was probably just due to luck, but I'm proud of it anyways! Good job on the game!

Please play and rate my game too if you'd like: Chaos Climbing by CosmosPanda (itch.io)

Hi :) nice game. I like the concept, it is original. I would personally change the music for sth else, but all in all, it is a good game.

Very original and cool idea. Maybe a bit more of an explanation or some little tutorial could be useful.

Great work buddy! It was so fun to play and the physics were so on point.
I loved guiding my little ship! :D

Neat! Keeping the commet on screen with some camera work or having an indicator with some details about it (like an arrow pointing to it or something along those lines) would help polish it up. Do each of the planets contribute to the gravity? I wasn't clear if they had an impact or if there was a central point that the calculations were based on.

Thanks for the feedback. There is a compass indicator that pops up when your ship goes too far from the center, I might need to shorten the distance at which it shows up. All of the planets contribute individually to the gravity field, but it's more noticeable when you are at a low velocity inside the solar system.

Good game !!! Well done!!!

I think this a great concept. I agree with below that I think the whole world could be scaled slightly smaller so that you didn't fly off screen so fast (which basically means winning becomes luck). But I found this game well put together and a lot of fun.

I think it is a great concept. It is difficult to controll though. But seeing a physics related game makes me happy. Also the visuals and audio are enjoyable. Good job.

The idea is really cool, and I would like to see the concept expanded.

But I think the way it is now is really hard to understand whats going on. For example, I wasn't able to use the planet's configuration to infer how to better play each level. I ended up always gravitating around the center of mass of all planets, instead of going from one orbit to another (which I think would be much more interested).

Maybe it's just a matter of scale. It could work better if planets were smaller and further apart, and the ship moved slower.  Maybe and initial velocity to the ship (making it stat already orbiting a planet or something like that) would be interesting too.

Anyway, just some ideas, I don't know if it would actually work well.

Nice job!

Very original concept. It's hard to grasp the commands at first and sometimes you rely more on guessing where the ship will appear from offscreen than actually playing it skillfully, but it was fun nevertheless. By the way, the music had huge Master System vibes, which was a huge plus to me :) good job!

Very interesting concept but need more gimmick to be actually fun to play also I find it very difficult to control the thing when it get very fast maybe your easily fix this with the faster you get the wider field of view thing, good art styles, though.

Also I would love to hear your feedback and rating on my game, Chaos Variants!

Good concept but super super difficult to get ahold of, looks great, fun idea, but once youre flung outwards it keeps that momentum through levels and you actually have to FIGHT the gravity instead of harnessing it actively. I think there needs more indication of where youre going? Or something? Maybe im just bad at this game LOL

Great concept! Very fun for a simple game. Amazing art and audio as well, great job!

Really good game over all. First I want to say I absolutely love the art, and music. It really gives a retro vibe. Secondly using physics to move is a genius mechanic, and as a physics junkie myself I quite enjoyed it. However it got a bit too chaotic after the first level, as I kept losing track of the object. The object reestablishing every few levels would be a nice touch. But other than that I really love this feature concept. It would be nice to see it expanded upon.

Fantastic art! Love the nod to Jupiter, such a great song. Controlling the projectile was a bit difficult, definitely chaotic, but maybe could've built up a bit more as opposed to going super fast after 2 orbits. Overall good concept, needs a bit of balancing. Also some levels played themselves which was kinda funny.

very interesting but becomes boring quite fast if you overshoot because it takes ages to get back closer to the portal

Interesting.

The game is quite fun! Being able to launch yourself at hyper speed when you find the rhythm for the gravity is very satisfying. The game doesn't motivate you to harness gravity in any way, though. You can fight against gravity to reach each goal fairly easily. Perhaps a bigger arena could give a reason to follow the pattern of the gravity. Other than that, nice game!
