The abstract graphics give a large field for interpretation. You start separated, sometimes have to unite for a while (tied together by an external force, not in your free will) but always find your way out of the maze alone, in your own glass.
Amazing example of indirect narration. I could continue ranting about it, but don't want to spoil it any further for anybody willing to play.
The sound is king! It's making like half of all the game's impression. Especially the rope and the glasses at the end of each level.
The puzzles are simple and mostly obvious. Yet the mechanics is fresh and definitely has potential. Would be happy to play a longer version with thought out levels.
As a former graphics designer I'm a bit hurt by random lines widths and goofy font.
The ending seems unbelievably bright and happy to me. Like, problems, addressed in gameplay can't be solved that easy.
it was fun to play and I really liked the minimalism and the colour palette of the graphics!
Very neat idea and pretty damn well executed too.
Was there something missing here or what? It was kinda confusing and and not too easily distinguished as a continue button.
Looks like itch is having some issues with images so I gotta use words too I guess. Unless they magically start working later. I meant the white bar that appears when the level is completed. It was completely blank for me, is that how it's supposed to look like? 🤔
The game was very easy. Even the later levels didn't get any more difficult, just more tedious. It was basically just the same idea over and over again. The one way doors kinda brought something new to the table but you didn't even explore them well enough. The last level started almost getting more interesting but then again half of the level was just a decoy making it seem more complex that it was.
The controls weren't exactly flawless. Especially bad was the glass breaking with a big ball. It was super finicky and often needed several bashes to get going. Merging the balls felt unnecessarily accurate having to aim the cursor to the other ball. I think just colliding with them would have been enough. I mean there was no down side to accidental merges since you could always just disconnect them again.
The visuals were clean and the colors weren't horrible. A bit more polish in the eye candy department wouldn't have hurt though. The audio was nice and calming for what was there. The rope effect sounded bit weird (and now that I think about it, its graphic also stood apart looking a bit different than everything else that was flat shaded) and didn't match the animation timing. The squeezing sound effect on the other hand was somehow weirdly satisfying. The balls could have used some bouncing sound and their detach sound was also incorrectly timed.
Anyways, good job! 👍
Overall an interesting and fun little puzzle game. I liked the gameplay idea and the puzzles. The sounds and graphics is pretty good, and it fits well tougher. The tutorial and introduction to the mechanise could have been better, and it's not always easy to see what the goal of the levels are. And I also wished the game automatically go from one level to the next. But any way, this is overall a fun and well made jam game. Well done.
thanks for the suggestion! It will be good to make tutorial by guiding instead of simple text instruction, but I just ran out of time haha
Nice puzzler. That last level had me scratching my head for a few minutes, but I got there eventually :-) Nice work and good use of physics.
