Nice work! I'm a little less familiar with this engine and didn't realize you could save at any time. I ended up dying in the fight after the sewers and had to start over... but it gave me a chance to explore some more LOL. I enjoyed the story! I liked how many characters there were to talk to even though you only had a week to develop it. Made the world feel more complete :)

Fun game not much of a RPG fan but Great Story!

Great game! It was nice to see another RPG! Although mine is quite a bit less story-centered. The writing was good, good job!

Had fun playing it.  Got lost for a minute because I didn't see the rope hanging from the window.  For some reason, I thought there was going to be a lights-out moment where I made a run for it.  That's on me.  Good job!

Jrpgs are not my thing, but still I see that this game has a personality and good writing so good job.

There's some funny dialogue in there "It's not like he'll start selling body parts down here, at least". It's well written in general. It's totally worth going to every character, wall, stuffed animal to click around.

I died fighting. It'd be nice if the opponent's health was displayed, since I couldn't tell how I was doing.

Had fun. Nicely done.

I also would like to show enemy health, I just wasn't sure how it could be done in time. Glad you liked the writing though! I tried to give each character their own personality that might shine through the amount of dialogue given :D

nice game! i like it! but.... u cant!!!! im stuck here hahaha

Developer(+1)

What!?!?!? You get stuck??? D: I'll check it out and see if I just messed something up making the latest update or if there's some kinda sequencing issue.

Submitted(+1)

No no no, wait, not blocked in the literal sense hahaha, but I just can’t decide! hahaha

Developer

oh okay! lmao I got worried for a second since if the ending is like the biggest part narratively xd

Glad to hear there's not an issue! <3

I like the game

I like the dialogue and the atmosphere! Talking to the gladiators was fun, though the inconsistent capitalization and punctuation occasionally took me out of it.

I really enjoyed it, and in particular I enjoyed the narrative aspect. The story was simple but really interesting!

Like the ui and style of game, the game is really polished. Loved it!

Very well polished game, I had an issue when scaping the sewer, I could not interact with the 2 characters after the ladder. However, it was well executed

Developer(+1)

Ah, I need to fix that. I play tested it myself some more before sleeping last night. I accidentally only made one tile trigger the ending event, so when you get teleported onto the stage if you just head straight up the center it should trigger. Also the same issue is present when you try to leave so you'd need to head up the center of the exit and maybe interact with it. I plan on fixing it and uploading a fixed version today with some additional dialogues available.

Cool game would love to see the story expanded!
