How does the game fit the theme?
The game fits the theme by making the player literally risk it for the biscuit, racing across the city for the exclusive 24 karat performative cookie, while simultaneously risking their identity by adopting an exaggerated 'performative male' persona to win favour.
This satirical double take mirrors recent social media trends of curated performative masculinity such as totes, matcha and feminist literature, and plays on biscuit as slang for an attractive person.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All of the code and assets were created by us specifically for this game jam.

Incredible job on the game! Really liked how engaging the gameplay was and the different styles that the player can use to play the game. Also loved the visuals and the audio! The footsteps actually being heard in the left and right channels of my earphones helped a lot with the immersion.

Overall, fantastic game, congrats!

Cool game and really nice visuals/art style. Only issue I had is the opening cutscene didnt play properly and there was no video on the phone screen.

amazing visuals and idea!!

well, matcha was super fun to play with and the overall game is super fun, as for the feedback i would suggest changing the light direction or behavior overall since when i am running forward i could see shadows of the obstacles that makes it really weird looking , other than that that game is super lovely i would give it personally a 8/10 the 2 missing points would be for the theme because i don't think there is much risking here but the game is super super fun and enjoyable.

also, really really insane job on the visuals there!

the game is pretty cool. the art is stunning, REALLY LIKED THE PAPER STYLE. although i do wish there was a performance mode because of my poor pc i was teleporting XD. (understandable why it isnt their)  because of this somehow the game said i won and when i pressed continue it said someone else was more performative :(

but still enjoyed it 9/10 :D

Honestly one of the best - if not THE best -pages in the entire jam! And it reflects on the gameplay as well. Seriously, great job!

Very fun running game! I really liked your "paper" style. But Lafufu must be nerfed. I just ran through obstacles and won

Literally one of the best games of this jam i’ve seen so far…. The artstyle is absolutely stunning

Really fun and the visuals are insane! I had some trouble running into obstacles at first, but I quickly mastered the movement.

Very cool graphics, love the flip-book look to the sprites and everything is very style cohesive! I would have personally liked if it got a bit more difficult so I could play it a bit longer!

guys you've made a perfect game!!! 5/5 hands down. I've already rated 40 something games and you guys are the first I give max rating. I love it! gameplay and style. It's awesome. I actually can't stop playing hahah

I love it! The sense of speed in unmatchable!

My only "negative" feedbacks are:
- the opening cutscene with the smartphone (I don't understand what is happening)
- I see the satirical game of interpret the theme, but I would expect some risk and reward mechanics

crazy game i never saw an artstyle like this and i love it and the aspect that everything else than people are 3d makes it even better! amazing work

I love the visual. It's quite easy but its super fun. To me one disadvantage point is the size of game, the download size is quite big for a game jam and I believe most of us enjoying web version for quick play

Quite unique visuals. Mastered a run in second try.

Got confused with a phone on the screen. Didn't know what to do. Click something? Just wait while is loading? I dunno.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!!

The phone is actually our way of introducing the game and the concept of “performative male”; we weren’t sure how many players would know that term, so we used the phone to explain why you need to run to the cookie shop.

Totally agree we could’ve labelled it as the intro or added a short hint.

It’s basically an intro cutscene.

Appreciate you flagging it!

The visual style is really really awesome and innovative!  the game does everything it should do really well, but the gameplay could be a bit more interesting

Absolutely insane style. Work beyond amazing for a jam.

Loved gameplay too. Labubu is insane to noclip around.

My favorite so far.

Only issue I had is long loading, took a while and I have decent pc. Thought it frozen.
