How does the game fit the theme?
In Slug Quest, you play as a slug, who has to find a cookie in a desert. The game is also hard.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
This game uses the following GDevelop extensions that I did not make from scratch during the jam:
"Object "Is On Screen?" Detection" extension by Bouh, Silver-Streak, and VictrisGames
The sprites of the slug are recycled and modified from the sprites of the slug as seen in Slug Feeding. The recycled sprites of the slug are also recycled and modified for the green slimes.
The sprites of the bananas are recycled and modified from the sprites of the bananas as seen in Slug Feeding.
The sprites of the asteroids are recycled and modified from the sprites of the asteroids as seen in Schleifenstrecke.
The sounds from this game are recycled from the sounds as heard in "Eric & Yannik 2" (and "Eric & Yannik X", if you count one sound that has been recycled but got unused in Slug Quest).
And those are the assets that I did make but weren't made from scratch during the jam but were recycled and modified for the game during the jam.
As for the assets that I didn't make from scratch during the jam, I used -Race around the world- by Waterflame (licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) as the music for this game.

While I am not usually a fan of rage games, this was a good time! The falling rocks got me really good lol.
Generally a nice little game, the snail looks cute! The gameplay is definitely hard, but in an unfair way in my opinion. I never understood the appeal of rage games, so if that's what you were going for, take my advice with a bigger grain of salt than usual. The meteors suddenly hitting you without any room for reaction just feels unfair. Maybe make them float menacingly in the air at the top of the screen, so you at least know that it's there? It also got annoying having to replay the start all the time, once you figure it out it's no threat anymore, but still takes a lot of time, and that gets frustrating. Some checkpoints would have been nice.
That's a slug, not a snail. Also, the game is meant to be hard in an unfair way.
fellow gdevelop game!
this game is 5/5 in all categories, only thing I can say it is really goddamn hard
Great game!
Nice little game which can get you raging as the falling stones are really tough - as you only know when you are quite close to the "vertical line" where the stones fall. And sometimes it is really difficult to avoid.
After 20 tries I needed to give up. But nice work. *thumbs up*
I see what you tried to do with making the game hard, it reminds me of those rage game that were popular some years ago where it's all try and error. I dont mind it but I dont think it's my cup of tea either. The game is nice tho so well done!
Sprites are nice.
Game is a bit unfair with the falling rocks. You can't dodge them once they spawn and I'm not about to find every spawn location so I can avoid it next run.
feels like I Want to Be the Guy.
This game is pretty tough. I think maybe some warning signs before the boulders fall would be a good idea, but other than that, it's a good game!
