How does the game fit the theme?
The protagonist takes damage at a very incremental rate, making it almost unnoticeable. This gives the protagonist a sense that nothing can go wrong. The protagonist also respawns immediately after dying.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some of the base code and the confetti effects were taken from the Unity 2D Platformer Template.
Audio was from freesounds.com.
Everything else was made by me.

Interesting idea, love the simple animated graphics and the music is relaxing. - Not able to accomplish anything on second level to move forward, but I am not good at platformers.
Got softlocked after the yippe, but it was alright. The lack of a working reset did kinda hurt the game due to all the forced damage you have to take. It felt like the game wanted you to explore, but actively punished you for doing so. It didn't really feel like a puzzle game where you're spending your health as a resource, but rather a platformer that requires you to use your i frames to the fullest and never get hit by the same thing twice if you can help it. Not sure which of the two you were leaning toward. If it's the puzzle aspect, hiding the environment made it so I couldn't reasonably know what the best way to spend my HP was until I've already done it, and if you were going for more of a platformer, I feel like a lot more could have been done with the gimmick of intentionally taking damage to benefit yourself. Not bad, but it felt a little unfocused.
Thanks for the honest feedback, Neo. That part after the yippee is actually the end, but I didn't make it clear enough to the player. I get what you're saying about the game feeling unfocused. My original idea was to give the player just enough HP so that they had to complete the game near perfectly without back tracking, but I didn't have a chance to really balance the mechanics and level design.
Cool idea, very fun to play. When I died the game stopped, and there is no replay button.
Oh that's weird. The game should automatically restart when you die. Can you tell me how exactly you died?
By running out of time.
I didn't add any kind of time limit to the game so that's very odd. What part of the level were you on when that happened?
It happened to me again, the player turns red and then dies, it dissapears and the camera just shakes indefinetely.
This game is really good. The idea is simple, but I like how it doesn't tell you anything and just leaves the player to discover hidden objects and paths by themselves, The music was really fitting too, nice game!
That's exactly what I was going for! Thanks for the review
I, in fact, was not fine :(
Good entry! I like the aesthetics and how the player controls. I was unable to escape, but regardless, good game :)
haha glad you liked it!
Got to the second hole with lasers in it, kept jumping up, but couldn't figure out where to go next. Interesting concept though. Nice work!
If you're talking about the part with 2 lasers on either side, all I can say is to go left. Thanks for trying it out!
Really cool concept! I got stuck at the laser part though, couldn't figure out how to get to the floating middle platform
Thanks for trying out my game! If you'd like a hint for that part, I can give you one lol
Interesting idea. I think I was close to the end when I got softlocked. But it was nice to explore to find hidden ways to get out.
Thanks for the review, Domo. Can you describe what part you got softlocked on? Maybe I can give you a hint
After the "Yippee ", I jumped to the right of the hole and couldn't get out of there.
Oh, that's just the end of the game. I guess I should've made that more obvious. The left button restarts and the right button either quits the game or opens the game page depending on platform
I got stuck around the lasers in the wall but I thought the idea of a 2d platformer escape room was really unique, this is a cool game.well done!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll check out your game sometime.
Thanks for viewing and playing my game! I appreciate any feedback.
