Very original, and cool artsyle!

The screen would sometimes turn white when flying and I couldn't see anything.

Love the look, great job!

I used to do this all the time too

Loved the NES visual ! I'm so bad, I couldn't launch the ship lol! But I really wish I had, it looked cool. It would have been cool to have a bit of music and some sfx too ^^! Otherwise good job overall, bravo!

Such a good game!

Sadly I've found a bug when escaping the house.

Developer

Thanks for playing it! Sorry you were experienceing problems, do you thing you can clarify what the bug is?

It just stopped the game and I could do anything, no message of being grounded or anything. I was pressing the "K' key, I guess, by the door, and the old man was right behind me.

The art and concept for this one was super cute! I can't say I ever fully understood what was going on as it seemed like I saw a little more of each scene or a little less of each scene each time I played. Generally I got a white screen after launch so I wasn't able to see when to eject or even that I got off of the ground.

Glad you liked the art style! sorry about the aspect ratio, I accidentally made it WAY too big lol

I really liked this game! It's simple, with charming visuals and a fun concept. The only thing that was a little off for me was the screen ratio (maybe putting the fullscreen button would have helped a bit, in your project edit page there is an option for it).

Developer

Thx for playing my game, glad you liked it! Sorry about the aspect ratio, I was trying to maintain the ratio of an NES game, but didn't want it to look too small, so I must've overdid it when trying to scale it up.

When I try to get something in "collect" phase (pressing Enter), the game freezes :(

I'd love to try it after the fix (or maybe I do something wrong :D), so please ping me when I can try it again!

Developer

Thanks for trying my game! Sorry my game wasn't working for you, I had accidentally turned all the UI off in the "borrowing phase", so it seemed like the game was frozen. I was so tired when I uploaded it I must not have noticed lol. It's all fixed now, so I'd love it if you could give it another shot! Thx for bringing the issue to my attention

I tried a new version! That’s really addictive game, I really like the games with two different gameplay loops. Overall great entry! If you plan to develop game further, I added some unasked advice below :D

I understand that there was enough time for add it to the gamejam version (we also didn’t add A LOT of the stuff in our game), but it would be great if you add these things (if you decide to develop the game further):

  • Player will get bonus from the spaceship part that goes into the steal part - e.g. faster running or something else - so make it “you play one mini game but improve in another” dual-sided
  • Explanation what each bonus do (and if they are the same, maybe make them different? - e.g. multiplier step increase / overall multiplier bonus on to height / more time / …)
  • Make the grandad move slower 😅 it was too fast to increase tension, more like “you see him, you go away”

Thanks for giving my game another shot! Having each phase influence the other in some sort of way is definitely a good idea. Although I don't have any plans to continue working on this game, I'll definitely consider these ideas for any other games I make. (Also sorry about the grandpa lol)
