Great game! The global leaderboard is a nice touch! I just wish there were a few more upgrades

Cool game! Very relaxing and very challenging! A few suggestions: It would be cool if you could see the balls collide while you were still building the spline, so that way you aren't confused if you test out a solution that you thought was going to work but ends up not working at all. That and maybe an incentive to get players to use fewer points on their spline (like a star system for each level. fewer points = more stars).
Hey! Thx for giving my game another shot! TBH, if I were to make the game again, I would definitely go about it completely differently (like having each of the puzzles slowly combine and teach you the mechanics of the game instead of them all having their own separate mechanics). As for the feedback you gave me:
- Yeah, you're right about the sprint mechanic.
- I did consider adding a breadcrumbs mechanic (something you can place down to tell where you've been), but was worried that it might've broken the illusion of the looping points. A map is probably a good idea, though. I can also see how a vague direction to go north when you have no sense of direction would be confusing lol.
- The audio in the first section is very janky, I'll admit, and your idea of putting the audio player on a path is a very good idea. I haven't worked too much with paths in Godot, so I never even thought about doing it like that.
Overall, I'm greatful that you spent so much time with my game and gave me some good feedback!
Thx! Now YOU can experience the mixed use of 2D and 3D yourself with the creation of https://jakers05.itch.io/outland-forest-pck-download! In just 1 easy step, you can download the missing .pck file that I forgot to embed the first time from the original uploaded .exe file and be able to ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME! I hope you give it another shot!
I'm glad you liked the idea lol. I've created a page at https://jakers05.itch.io/outland-forest-pck-download to download the missing file from the original download so you can actually play the game! I hope you give it another shot!
Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot to embed the .pck file in the original .exe file (you need both files to run the game) so I've created a page to download the .pck file here: https://jakers05.itch.io/outland-forest-pck-download. Download the file into the same folder as the executable and the game should now be playable (hopefully!). I'd appreciate it if you could give my game another shot! Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hey! Thx for bringing this issue to my attention! I've come up with a temporary solution and created a separate page just for downloading the .pck file here: https://jakers05.itch.io/outland-forest-pck-download. I hope you can come back and give my game another shot! (I also hope it works this time.)
***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ IMPORTANT***
NOTE: In order to actually play the game, you need to download the .pck file right here, as well. Turns out I goofed and forgot to embed the .pck file into the downloadable .exe file before uploading it to itch.io and nobody has been able to play my game (oops!). I hope this extra step won't deter you from giving my game a shot! (also why did two people rate my game when nobody could play it???)
Cool game! I really like the artstyle and it was really addicting trying to get better and better scores, though it was a bit unclear as to how many animals you were supposed to feed in order to win. (btw can anyone tell me what the gormless, long-eared rat-thing is supposed to be? I couldn't figure it out for the life of me)
Thanks for trying my game! Sorry my game wasn't working for you, I had accidentally turned all the UI off in the "borrowing phase", so it seemed like the game was frozen. I was so tired when I uploaded it I must not have noticed lol. It's all fixed now, so I'd love it if you could give it another shot! Thx for bringing the issue to my attention
Dev here, I'm sorry you weren't able to play my game. After researching this a little bit, it seems like certain search engines such as Safari don't support HTML5 games on itch.io, so this might be the source of the problem. If you'd like to give my game another shot, you'd have to switch search engines to something like Google Chrome or Firefox. Sorry for the inconvenience.
