Cool basis for a survival game! The movement felt too slow for me. There were some invisible bits in the ground where the truck would get stuck.

Great game, I really enjoyed the writing, the setting and exploration. Totally my jam!! blizzards build tension and sometime it feels like they give you false positives when the temperatures rise up and lower down again, this totally increased the tension for me (in a good way) haha

An eerie cold mood works super well for this jam's theme and this game too. The truck feels satisfyingly slow to chug around, so I'd almost want larger distance between buildings just to spend more time driving rather than clicking through the loot menus. The visuals work well, simple enough with the blizzard and the particle effect snow being an indicator for gameplay is awesome too. Great job!

Nice game, fits the theme well and mechanics are implemented well.
It would've been nice for the camera to be free to rotate to survey the landscape instead of fixed to the facing of the truck, and maybe some survivor mechanics like morale, kind of like Frostpunk, where you have to balance people you save in the truck, VS supplies.
Hiding should also have some mechanics to do while waiting out the storm, so you aren't just staring at the screen doing nothing.
Maybe events like "found extra food" while doing inventory, or missing food and you have to find the culprit before the storm ends, or spending resources to fix a failing heater.

All in all a promising concept, would be really nice to see it expanded to a full game.

This game has one of the best uses of the theme I have played so far! I love the visuals you have for the storm, it feels both freezing but also a little cozy. Also you did well to making the calm before the storm feel the most panicked! Great Game!

It has a nice atmosphere and I like the fluid movement. Also in my game you drive a vehicle.

Developer

Thanks for feedback. Your game is cool and has better vehicle control.

it was pretty good, but the truck being so slow to accelerate was a little tiresome. not a big deal tho, i rly liked the idea and i think you executed it well. (feel free to rate my game if you want :)

Immersive simulation about tryna get to the North, but I found myself super disoriented after awhile and unsure about whether I could win at all. But maybe that's the point of the experience? Still, great submission!

Great concept, it's very fun and immersive thanks to the description. Until you realize it's highly scripted and punitive. If you get caught in the storm, it's almost impossible to go back to a previous place where you could hide unless you've aimed before. Which could be fun but in a less scripted game imo. The design is holding 2 contradicting concepts which aren't mixed very well together. Though thank you for the great time. I'm very critical bc I still really enjoyed it  :P !
