It was a nice little game. I liked how you made different characters to play. But the sounds were a bit of an ear rape whenever there were a lot of attacks going on.

Developer

Very interesting suggestion! I need to think about how to adjust this sound. Do you have any good suggestions? XD

Submitted

I only have one, I think the sounds effects might be too loud alone. Lowering that might help.

Developer

Thanks, The latest update has replaced the sound of being hurt with the whimpering sound of a dog.   :-)

This game is fun and intense, but found it hard control the camera  and avoid obstacles.   Great entry!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I have found a solution for the modifications, and the issues with controls and camera will be addressed in the updates following the Game Jam. Due to the new input system that has been implemented this time, there are several areas that need improvement.  XD

Interesting game. Anime sytle artwork is kinda neat. I like the smoke trail effect your character leaves when it runs. First boss was too easy, second boss was too hard. When you switch to FPS camera you cannot turn look left or right sometimes. Boss fights weren't very fun. I like the visual style of the bosses though they look like Kirby, some kind of cute ghost. Particles effects are cute too.

Not a bad game. If some gameplay elements are improved  could be a fun game

Developer

Thank you very much for pointing out this bug. Since my mouse isn't that fast, I didn't notice this issue. I've identified the problem and should be able to fix it quickly.

Very strange game for sure. Music and enemies are really off-putting and seems like to etierly different project, but the main gameplay is quite fun so it doesn't really irritate.

The main characters are good, but don't really feel different... Encountered bug on every playthrough I got some white screen filter that stayed permanently, also after I beat waves the black book is no longer active, so there is no choice at all. The wording is little misguiding as well, it took me a couple of waves to understand what "charging" means, and what is "superjump" is still mystery to me)

But the idea is fun and with the proper polish it would be a great project!

Developer

You've truly understood it. The game's models and music are sourced from a previous project since it's a solo development effort. Only the gameplay and skill systems have been rewritten. It appears there are still some bugs that couldn't be thoroughly tested during gameplay. Thank you very much for your review, and I will continue to polish and refine the game.

I am not sure about the movement paradigm, I expected it work like a TPS and then an FPS when aiming. Instead I couldn't figure out how to dodge and move where I wanted, I feel like the camera and WASD were clashing and fighting each other. I think making this just a straight TPS would clean a lot of that up and make dodging and shooting more fun. I dig the vibe you are going for here and I like the power ups.

Developer

This is indeed a very valuable suggestion. The game already has a toggle for the third-person shooter (TPS) mode, but it seems that TPS may not provide the desired level of immersion. However, it is definitely worth experimenting with.

Cool atmosphere and impressive visuals! I like the switching from first to third person for shooting and using melee attacks. I wasn't sure if I was switching between power ups or gaining new ones, and sometimes was a bit difficult to tell if I was hitting the boss or not. This has a very cool vibe though and feels quite unique. Well done!

It was a little bit difficult to understand for me what was going on. Especially after I killed (?) the first enemy. Something happened there. Then I couldn't move at all and died. The game seemed interesting but I wish there was a Windows build.

Developer

Thank you very much for your suggestions; they will be implemented in the next version.

The camera crashes very often, if the character was always facing forward the shot would look better, the fact that the shot is destroyed midway made me miss a lot of shots in the second boss, a bullet hell approach like in the second boss leaves lead to a more fun game but still have several problems with control, visuals and especially sound.

I beat the first enemy and got to the powered up version from the sky! The music drowned everything out a bit too much. The boss chasing with its attacks were hectic and kept me on my toes but it was hard to see t's attacks due to the camera! I'd recommend either zooming it out a bit or moving to the left or right of the player and zooming it in a bit.

Very interesting artwork, but for some reason I couldn't do anything in the game. The screen shots and video do promise an interesting game.

Wow, so that intro and the pictures on page really build up the game to be a bit of letdown when I couldn't actually do anything in the game. For that reason I gave it a 1.2/5 for effort, sorry I am sure there could be a game here. Unless I am wrong? Not sure but once it started it sure was difficult to get it to do anything. Cool intro though

After 2nd review I am giving more stars back to this.... I had such a bad day and you deserve better plus this one of the first games I rated 3/5 doubling your score

Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. I am going through and re-saving yours given my browser kept your rating saved data on my end...but it looks like I lost all 73 reviews and ratings from my end....  :( best of luck to you in the Jam

Sorry for the inconvenience if you have a chance to rate/re-rate
