How does your game represent Mode?
The game is about a girl that goes to buy clothing and ends up fighting a powerfull boss. In this case the word mode is refering to fashion...you could also say she went shopping mode

The weight behind the charge attack gave the character a lot of personality. It really made me feel like an Attack on Fashion.

Yeah, I didn't have enough time to implement the themed part 🥲. I even have two entire sprite sheets of pixel art clothing I never even got to use!

Very juicy, the dash attack caused me to make sound effects with my voice. I'm not quite convinced the game is *about* fashion though. ;) ;P

Actually there's a lot of things I didn't have time to include 🤣. Originally I had an initial cut scene planned that would explain "the lore" but I ended up with no time at all and a lot of things are unfinished 😬

That's a really fun way to think about the mode theme! She really went sicko mode on her fashion :p

This was a fun one, great challenge and the boss fight was really well designed. I thought I had figured out a way to cheese it by coming in close and spamming boomerang, so that it bounced off the wall faster, and then the boss did that big blue circle push-back attack and it was like "ok, game on." Really cool moment, and the boss has a nice amount of variety in their attacks too, that's impressive. 

It looks like the character art was made by rendering 3d models as pixel art, which is really cool, I like the art style a lot. The music fits perfectly too, it matched the frenetic action of the gameplay.

This could definitely be further developed into a full commercial game with some more rooms and bosses added, the mechanics are solid. It would make for a great family-friendly version of a Hotline Miami style game.

Fun game. I really enjoyed the charge up mechanic, it felt satisfying to charge the boomerang up to a higher level and the sound and effects that accompanied it. The lasers during the boss fight and chromatic aberration was really cool too :D 

I definitely could not beat that boss after a few tries, but I can see a way through if I was faster. Maybe some HP pickups would help! I see you mentioned the issue with the cursor, that might have made it a bit difficult for me to aim as well!

It is really satisfying that charging mechanic right!? I loved how it eventually turned out. Yeah, that problem with the mouse was a bummer, but at least it's not 100% invisible so...haha

I was originally going to add HP pickups but I ended up with no time (making the song was reaaaaaaally time consuming)...I almost didn't get the chance to upload the game after all thar work :(

  • The mechanics were pretty satisfying, the boomerang was cool to use up close next to a wall
  • Hitting enemies in large groups felt nice, especially with the SFX
  • I couldn't figure out how to get past the first room though :( Maybe I'm dumb but I was trying to destroy the props around the room but couldn't.

Nice job getting it in! Shame I couldn't try the boss fight :c

I hope you didn't have a hard time considering that issue with the cursor (it is supposed to show an icon). And I don't know about that problem with the first room, perhaps it's another bug I wasn't aware of haha.
