Really interesting take on the theme! I enjoyed this one a lot. There were some things that could've used a little more polish (Ex: my hp bar would look like it was at 0 sometimes but I could still take another hit), but I thought this was amazing for having been made during this jam and by one person. Super impressive and a great game overall!
You and I had similar Mode interpretations. This was a good experience and I liked that you added a boss fight at the end.
Neat 2d adventure game! I really liked how unique each hero felt. Though I will say archer definitely ended up feeling like the most powerful. I really enjoyed how each hero had quite a powerful thing that they could contribute. Especially when doing the final boss. Also nice job using Godot! I also started Godot this year. By the looks of things you've already gotten the hang of things haha.
In the end I wasn't able to complete the game fast enough for whatever that timer was for but I had fun overall!
I loved this game! So fun and challenging!
I liked how spamming attacks wasn't 100% safe, made it challenging in a fun way.
And the purple girl's special attack was awesome! It even destroyed enemy projectiles! I wish I could have used that attack more!
The ending text made me wonder: Is there a different ending if you beat the game fast enough?
Edit: I also really liked the sound effects! Music wasn't bad, either.
Great interplay between each of the characters. I especially liked how Knight mode led directly into Priest mode, so all the damage incurred by the Knight's attacks could be undone by the Priest.
The final boss was impressively climactic as well! Just a really great entry overall!
A lot of fun. No notes. All the different mode were fun and the gameplay idea of being forced between all of them was an original spin on a top-down shooter. I played for longer than I thought I was going to and am probably going to play some more. Also, the sound effects were some of my favorite parts.
Tons of fun! I also took a "change your character constantly" approach to the theme, and I really like your interpretation of it. And the whole thing is impressive for the time you had to make it.
I especially liked how the UI makes it clear which character is coming up thanks to the timeline at the top of the screen. That's some smart UI!
Had fun with this one. Could be an interesting local multiplayer game. I think it would be cool to extend this concept by adding more randomness to the mode switching.
I really like how the game incorporated the jam theme! It's a great concept. My favorite character is the knight, but they all look really cute. The archer feels especially powerful, but that made it the most fun mode in my opinion. Art looks amazing.
THE BOSS FIGHT AT THE ENNNNNND AAAAAAAAAAAAA
So good how you managed to make it feel "fightable" from every character, I really liked this. Also, Archer is busted, probably Knight and Mage need a bit more dmg cause you're getting all the risks and none of the rewards, 8 bullets is basically the entire Archer time anyway.
Cool game! really like the graphics!
Cool idea! In concept I would find this fun, but the slow movement speed and poor visibility for whats coming ahead combined with the long wait time after dying makes it hard for me to progress. Maybe I'm just really bad or missing something, because looking at the screenshots there's a lot I'm missing out on. Very impressive for your first jam on Godot though! I was also excited to see you made all the art and music yourself. The art is good enough I suspected it was from an asset pack, so top marks there!
