Hey mate. Some feedback:

- Firstly, the music and the art are very nice.

- Secondly, your game doesn't start at the menu. You must make it so that Menu is scene 0 on Unity.

- When I fall to the very bottom I disappear.

- You forgot to add a physics component w/ friction of 0 to make the player not stick to walls.

- I wish you'd tell me the goal of the game and add some text increasing my score every second.

- Speaking of scores, please add a high score system. Doing so with PlayerPrefs is pretty easy.

This is my high score btw:

The game is hard to understand at first but once I did I must admit that is is a pretty intersting entry! Good work with the visual and the audio, the controls are a bit strange (it's not clear about when we can dash or not). Also when I fall at the bottom of the map, I guess I should reapper at the topside of the map but I was then invisible on screen :/ Happened to me twice even with a page reload

Nonetheless good job, well done!

Took me a while to figure out what to do but once I did was a fun game!

I kept losing lives even when i didn't hit anything, also i saw no purpose of switching colors.

Developer

guess i need a tutorial... switching colors changes the colors of the bullets that give you points, ex: if you're red, red bullets give you points, and blue ones make you lose them. And yes, the points do run out automatically to keep you moving

ohh ok, will try again

Art was nice, could maybe allow color switch on the ground.

Excellent visuals! Nice Mechanics! The gameplay takes some while to get around! But it's a very well-put-together game! Great Job!

The art is delightful. You have a knack for pixel art. The gameplay, maybe because of a lack of explanation, was hard to understand. I'd love to see how the game was intended to be played, because I loved what I saw.

Developer

thank you! I hope its not too confusing, so ill leave this here: a and d to move, and left-click to dash, which changes your color. If you run into bullets that are the same color as you are you get a point. The points run out over time, and having 0 ends the game

Hi, nice game!

Overall, I'd say that it's pretty decent especially since this is your first game (I think).

Gameplay - It could do with some improvements. Mainly giving the player slightly more room to jump and play around with the dash mechanic. Speaking of the dash mechanic, I really liked it. It's a neat idea and was executed well, so no criticism there.

Art - In terms of art, this game definitely succeeds. The BG art looks amazing and the players and enemies all look really good.

Music - The music bops but is a bit loud. Sure, you can just turn it down on your own machine, but a volume slider wouldn't hurt either.

Theme - The game definitely fits the theme well.

Developer

thanks for rating, glad you liked the art. And yes, this is my first time programming and doing the art alone

Decent concept, but very finnicky. The music was a little much, could do with sfx. Other than that it was alright with a few bugs.

Hi!

Your game has some good approaches, but here's what bothers me.

I would have made the platforms "OneWay Platforms". That is, you can jump through from below and not from above.

Also, it's annoying when you get stuck on the platforms.

Both can be easily done in Unity with the "Platform Effector 2D".

I think the goal is to stay alive as long as possible. However, this is not particularly difficult, since you can simply stand on some platforms and permanently get your HP refilled.

Here I would have wished for something more. For example, that after a red ball you can only be hit by a blue one and vice versa.

Sounds like a lot of criticism, but that doesn't mean I think your game sucks. It just has some weak points which hopefully you can improve in your next games.

thanks for the tip :) i agree comepletely
