Very nice game! Interesting take on the theme, maybe a bit too easy and the gameplay gets old fast. But still a nice entry! Congratulations!
Hi!
A nice game.
Only from the scope too little.
Instead of making so many levels and a frenzy mode, I would have rather tried to make the gameplay a bit more exciting. For example, you could move the sun and the moon closer to the earth by pressing a button, which would have made the gameplay a little more exciting. Because the way it is now, I wait until the right moment and then press a button once and the level is done.
Even though I complained a lot, it doesn't mean that your game was bad. I just wanted to give you tips so that you can improve in the future.
Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I 100% agree with adding more freedom with the controls by enabling to go farther and closer to the earth but it was just that I wasn’t too sure on how to implement it and I wasn’t too sure if i’d have enough time to do so.
Really fun concept and well excecuted, some things: the sun controls were inverted (annoying), when going back to the menu the music would double up.
pls also rate my game
Thanks for feedback, I really didnt know how to fix the music part and for the sun controls I knew it was inverted but I just kinda ran out of time to fix it.
I feel like the levels were very repetitive, and as SShad0w said, you can complete all levels without moving the sun (exactly what I did). I think you should try and improve your graphics and audio too, but probably not first priority. Good job overall.
Thanks for the feedback, I wanted to have like a bit more variety/better music in general but its just that im not too good in doing that tbh, also about the level design I wasnt too sure on what to do since I was afraid that it wouldve been too hard or too easy.
That makes sense, you don't get much time to playtest or to make changes in a 72 hour gam jam. Good job anways.
I think the game difficulty overall was not really that balanced. You can complete all the levels without even moving the sun, and the frenzy looks like it's stuck in the same level. You can go up to infinite points without even trying, as there is a clear path to the left where the moon can go through. The music is a bit repetitive, as well. It is a good concept, but needs to be fleshed out a bit more. Good job on finishing it, though!
I'd be glad if you could try out my game as well!
Thanks for the feedback, I was planning to add a few more details like adding more randomization to the frenzy and make you have to actually move both the sun and moon but couldht put it into the game in time.
Sometimes it was too hard, and other times too easy. I like the concept, the music and art are good, its just a bit confusing. I wish i had more control over the satelites/meteors because it was kind of more like randomly waiting for them to leave
Thanks for the feedback, this was my first time really doing level designing so I wasnt too sure on how to do it. But also about the meteors and satellites I was planning to add a part where it would chase you for a bit but couldnt implement during the jam period.
Hmm, there's a core of a good game here. I do like the concept of steering both the sun and moon to meet each other, but the gameplay was very confusing and even when I figured it out, it got kind of repetitive.
More mechanics than hazards that move around randomly would be great! There's no particular reason to move the sun and moon together, so maybe add something that forces you to move both, for example.
Overall, it's pretty good, it just needs a lot more polish!
Thanks for the feedback, and yeah I agree with adding more polish and more mechanics where they would move around randomly. I also didn't have an idea on how to change the controls to make it less confusing.
