really cool.  On my computer the game was really small and I had to zoom in the page in the browser, not sure why.   I really liked the visual effect when you complete a phrase.  PS.  Our team is in a need of more ratings, can you please help us?  https://itch.io/jam/benbonk-game-jam-1/rate/660058, download binaries from: https://aigua1977.itch.io/onthecase-binaries

Developer

Thanks for playing, I will definitely try out yours

Thanks!  Fwiw the windows version got accidentally overwritten by the mac version, and it was broken since Thursday night until Saturday afternoon.  It is fine now, so please try it again if this is your platform.

Was not working great with a Danish keyboard.

But really nice game!

Developer

Ah damn. The more you know, never knew that many keyboards existed. Thanks for playing though.

Submitted

Haha, there is almost a keyboard for every language :P

The hardest part was these ", as the game would recognize me doing them.

Submitted

Will you try my game aswell? :)

Alr tried boss :D

Wow that was really cool! I realize I need to improve my typing haha.  All the aesthetics were great and the sound effects were super cool! Still great job submitting such a unique game to the jam, you did it congrats!  Please check out my game when you have time :D (kinda buggy haha)

Developer

Ah thanks buddy. I am really glad you liked the sound effects, it was kinda rushed. I'll try your game later then. :D

This game was very fun and unique I am not a very fast typer so I only got a E 300,000 as my high score but overall it was very fun.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out, glad you had fun. :D

Very unique submission. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but it kept slowing down and speeding up for me. The theme wasn't very clear but I'm guessing it had something to do with the poem. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to read it as I was trying to type the letters, but I saw you post it separate. Nicely done!

Developer

Thanks. I was trying to make it go fast or slow based on the mood of the story but wasn't quite able to do it properly. ;-; Didn't have time either because of school. Glad you liked it.

Great idea but apparently because I have a german keyboard I wasn't able to get past the parts with an " - character

Developer

Ah I see, its unfortunate you couldn't get the best experience. Glad you played though. Thanks

Very creative way to tell a poem. It was refreshing to play something that's not a traditional game! I'm interesting in how you did this in godot as well. Are these rich text labels that you change the color with bbcode?

Developer

I just used two types normal labels, one coded to display the text normally over a period of time using characters visible while the other coded to display two labels one grey the other white, the white one only increasing in character visible when you type the correct letters. Glad you liked it. Really happy it piqued your interest. Thanks :D
