Definitely a funny intro! I noticed "this... didn't go well" is written on the game's page, so I applaud you for submitting something you don't feel went very well, it takes courage to do so! Also, don't beat yourself up over what you made! As the lead of a software development team, I find myself giving this advice/encouragement to my team at times, and I feel it applies here as well:
This applies to pretty much everything, so whether this is making software, music, art, etc. this applies. Game jams are supposed to be fun, and what matters here is that you took time to build something, you learned from it (everyone learns in game jams, even professionals), and are better now for it! Happy jamming!
The tech's coming along well. I'd love to see the game you had in mind for this, I can imagine you slowly introducing the player to the different features you've already implemented here, giving them a new instrument or allowing them to alter the BPM to achieve some goal.
Godot 4 for a jam...brave! I'm sticking with 3.5 for now.
AI music generation is neat, though I feel like a little more time spent in just the UI could probably have gone a long way in usability.
Interesting test, hope I knew more about music compositing to make full use of it!
Hi! I'm getting this error on Firefox, you may want to add a warning on the game's description directing players to use Chrome
