Perfectly functional breakout-like. My only problem with this game is ball visibility, especially with the coins. Overall, I think these coins being everywhere is just annoying and don't add anything to the game. The appeal of these games is to break blocks; distracting the player to pick up a thousand bonus objects with every single block destroyed is a constant diversion that detracts from the core gameplay.
Hell no, this mechanic will stay, I have plans for it, it is really satisfying and cool-looking, it makes gameplay more strategic and slower-paced and this is the hill I am willing to die on.
>Main game doesn't have any music outside the titlescreen As intended >Only two hearts to start with? Then why show 5 heart containers? That's maximum amount, any heart collected over the limit converted to 5000 points instead.
Sweet graphics. It's pretty nostalgic, particularly the lack of music, which reminds me of dx ball. Only critique is that the silver coins are too similar to the ball so it's hard to tell where the ball is when too much shit is falling down. Also, did you really have to make the description sound so suggestive? lmao

Title music was a jump scare. Maybe consider fading it in, and half the normal volume.
Otherwise it's a game that plays like all of the other games that are just like this.
Yeah, I am already reducing the volume all across the board anyway.
i mean, it's... breakout.
i like breakout, so i like this game too.
Simple and honest game, I reach level 11 with magnets and canons, it was fun. I don't have complains.

MAKES ME FEEEL GOOD.
Fun game m8. One complaint: it's not easy for me to anticipate where the ball is sometimes where there are a lot of coins.
>I was able to collide with the ball under the platform and it didn't die
>Music, graphics, effects, and more was really well made, great game feel. Main game doesn't have any music outside the titlescreen
>Only two hearts to start with? Then why show 5 heart containers?
I like it. It has some bugs but it has a lot of potential.
>Main game doesn't have any music outside the titlescreen
As intended
>Only two hearts to start with? Then why show 5 heart containers?
That's maximum amount, any heart collected over the limit converted to 5000 points instead.
Thank you for the explanation.
I wish the music in the title screen was also in the gameplay. Also coins look like the ball
Title music is way too loud.
As someone else said, silver coins are a bit too similar to the ball.
Other than that, a very solid game in its genre!

Someone clearly haven't tried pressing Ctrl-F5 in DX-Ball.
This is clever in a lot of ways.
I kept replaying even after dying just to try it more.
some kind of godot bug prevents this type of thing from running on macs, probably not worth your time, but this doesn't run on macs right now.
