chat is this real?? I mean this is obviously a well blended cinematic experience (seriously, even the cave textures are awesome and varied and interesting).

Glad you managed to submit it, and ironically I think the installed version plays better than the web version. No idea why ( i didnt think unity had differences between web and dodwnload exports)

Enjoyable and relaxing game. I really liked the visuals and the message behind the story. Maybe a bit more gameplay would've been nice. Like trying to solve some kinds of puzzles or have some objectives. But other than that I enjoyed playing it, nice work!

the world you've built here is mesmerizing! nicely gamified plato's cave, along with the sheep mentality coming from literal sheep, the message is loud, clear, and beautifully illustrated! the world building just goes hard as you slowly reveal what is behind the veil! the cave feels suffocating to go through, with the ambient noises elevating that feeling, but there's always moments along the way that brighten up the path before you, filling your vision with soft and warm colors, a moment of reprieve! the mood and atmosphere is so well crafted and delivered, excellent job!

the art in generally just looks amazing, really like the sheep models. also can we talk about our playable little guy? why is glaucon so awesome??? i can only ever dream to be as cool as them xd. that power walk, the stylish jojo idle pose, those sick orange shades that look like they came straight off of gurren lagann??? what a sick character xd.

you know, like the sheep in the cave, you see hundreds upon hundreds of games, picking and choosing based on your gut first impression, but regardless you'll never get to truly know and understand the value of what you're looking at unless you take the first step to actively confront it. what an incredible game, glad i gave this a shot, great work!

The lighting in this is stunning, and I really love what you did with the cave walls. Is the variation from the normal map? It looks great!

I'm glad you like the lighting! Most of the variation of the rocky texture is indeed from the normal map, but there's some color variation as well. It's voronoi noise for the big shapes in the texture.
There's also blocky rock models I made to break the silhouette of the tunnels in many places.

Even with a controller the camera felt a little unwieldy. Visuals were great though, I loved the aesthetics. I look forward to more if you decide to continue post-jam.

I'm glad you like the visuals! I agree that the camera system has issues, I was hoping to polish it more during the jam, but I ran out of time and I didn't disable the wonky easing function. I'm thinking of turning this into a full exploration game after the jam, cause I had to cut a lot of cool ideas to meet the deadline.

I'll make sure to update the game with keyboard+mouse controls after the jam ends. The mouse issue only requires a single line of code to fix, I just forgot to do it before the deadline :(

I really appreciated seeing a more narrative game here, as there are usually few in jams. The starting sequence was great, with some pretty good cinematography. The visuals are good, and even more impressive considering the amount of stuff you got done in the jam’s short time. Only problem for me was the camera controls, which were kinda finnicky. Good job!

I liked the story concept for the game, and despite the fact that it's only a walking simulator I really liked the atmosphere, and I know that it must have took a lot of effort the process of making all those models from the sculpting, to the animating, and top it off with making the shading and illumination look good, and to populate the game to avoid looking empty.
I'm really curious of what this could have been given more time, specially considering that I can clearly see all the years and effort you have spent honing your skills, and I wish to learn from you one day.

In an totally unrelated note, for some reason this game made me feel nostalgic for a bootleg video game I played many years ago, probably because it also had the same problem with the mouse, poor performance on my potato, the movement speed is practically the same, and the models and animations carry a similar cartoony feeling.

The graphics and presentation definitely took a very long time, the story was pretty nice. Gameplay wasn't really there because of the effort it takes to make it look this nice, but that's fair. Also not sure if it was only me, but the mouse was still active and not captured, so moving around freely wasn't as satisfying as it could have been. Great submission, I can't imagine how hard it must've been to get all that modeling and sculpting done.

This game was intriguing, as I saw updates on it in the discord server, and so I decided to play it. The visuals are quite nice, and the sheep character is really well done! The cutscene at the beginning was also well done, and intriguing. However, because I was playing on keyboard & mouse, I really had a hard time seeing the visuals and I noticed after playing that the mouse lock wasn't added. It also was a walking sim, although what I did like is that there was a good amount of environmental storytelling. Overall, this has really nice visuals, but lacks real gameplay, and also has that one mouse issue, but that's a simple line of code away from being fixed. Good work on the visuals! (hopefully this doesn't sound too mean :) )

The visuals were genuinely amazing, especially our lil sheep friend's walk cycle! The ending was very nice and understated too, though I *was* initially worried the game crashed when it just held on a white screen with the ambient sounds, lol. That's my b.
