  • Level 12 is hard and i kinda wish the halt mechanic took cues from what marching bands do. The vibes are strong, the concept is cute, I was emotionally invested from start to end.

What do you like about your game?
Hard to pick! I really like how the Gnorm lore turned out, quite silly but also cute

Truly the Dark Souls of... Gnorm Games.

Presentation is pretty much perfect in my opinion. Great art, nice sound design, and it's very obvious what you're supposed to do.

I love the story telling through the environment!

As people have said, the game is hard, but I don't think this is bad. Some games are just hard, and that's the way they're meant to be.

It really makes you FEEL like a monster trying to learn about the mysterious Gnorms. Great job :)

idk what to say, the gameplay is flawless, the visuals and music are flawless and its absolutely original.

ranked 5-5-5 i guess you unlock a platinum trophy or something

Lovely game. From its concept to the seamless integration of the theme, the captivating art and music, every aspect is exceptionally well-executed. :)

My only complaint is the spike in difficulty on level 14. A potential solution could be to implement adaptive difficulty, gradually expanding the tolerance margin after repeated attempts.

Overall, this is among my favorite. Well done!

when I gnorm too well, I lose track of who I am.

hilarious game, it’s my favorite entry so far. I just wish it had controller support for analogue movement. 5/5 regardless!

I must know: is the title a wordplay on “abnormal journey”?

Something like that, yes :P

Very interesting interpretation of the theme! This game is pretty brutal though, if you go a few pixels off course you have to start over! I do really love how you see the different activities of the gnorms as you play though, it adds a lot of story depth and interest. Overall, a really great entry :)

Thanks so much for the feedback! yeah I wish I made the game slightly easier before I submitted... oh well, guess I need more playtesting next time :)

A bit unforgiving

Developer(+1)

Yeah it seems like a lot of people are finding it difficult, I guess I didn't get the balance quite right 😅 Thanks for the feedback tho

Incredibly polished game with a cool interpretation of the theme. There’s definitely an among us joke to be made somewhere here.

I love all the mechanics you introduced to spice up the levels. Level 14 was pure evil. image.png

Love the concept, aesthetic and soundtrack. The levels can be unforgiving, especially 12 and 13.  Overal very cool 👍

Here I am dual-wielding my ZQSD trying to take those turns as quick as possible. The gnorms aren't forgiving peoples. 😭

Really polished game and fun gameplay 👍 congrats  ! (and props for the volume slider)
