Fun game! I died because I did not have enough trap at the last level :(
We did notice that happening with the random fleeing from the smaller mooks getting into the traps.
Thanks for the insight !
Pretty interesting idea for a roguelike, I would have loved to have all the gremlins with the same effect like they don't damage you but annoy you or make it harder to follow them by blocking the area around them to reach. So the game become like a chasing game like the ghosts in pacman when you eat the power pill :)
Like your game - the art assets look so charming! We both made kind of the same choice by letting our characters look like stickers. Yours are even animated! Great job!
really nice job! The art is super charming, and the audio really helps sell the sense of humor you're going for. I was a bit confused at first, but I think that's sort of the charm pf roguelikes anyway. Great work!
Thanks!
Could you specify where you were left confused - so that we could improve on that?
Wonderful little turn based roguelike! I knew I had to give it a try as Senior Unrest was too funny a concept to not try.
The art was cute, the gremlins were fun to dodge, push into traps, and hit with the walker, and it was an interesting game overall! I liked the leveling / shop system and managed to beat the game on my first go!
A few improvements would be 1) adding additional enemy types (provided the time) 2) adding a way to review controls when in game (but I noticed on my 2nd play there's a tutorial I missed on the main menu)
I think you all did a great job making a fun bitesized roguelike!
Thank you!! jakelaux
I agree with your comments. We did some concept art for more gremlins but there wasn't time to implement it during the jam. We may start on that if we chose to continue the project. About the second comment, we could implement a pause menu with the commands hidden somewhere inside it.
Yeah! Timelines really sneak up on you :)
I ended up putting the art together for my submission the last night I had as all the proc-gen took a while!
Regardless great submission!
