I think the best highlight of the game is the crayon-like art assets. Great job
Your level design was really impressive - each had gameplay that felt different enough to be a new experience but didn't feel like a different game, AND made sense thematically with the parts of the water cycle. The wind patterns were really neat, too!
I really like the visual elements of the crayon drawings and the trails you had for the air were really satisfying, it's really unique using the water cycle as the overall theme, nice!
The only negative I have about this game is the gameplay. I have nothing wrong with the movement but after the first chapter I didn't feel as engaged. The first chapter had allowed you to collect smaller droplets to grow bigger which made it easier to grab the gold droplets, but that doesn't return for the other chapters. I believe that mechanic would be fun to have throughout the whole game, since it has its strategies and risks if you collide with another droplet bigger than you or too fast.
But overall, great and simple game.
Super creative game play.
The theme is a very clever way of thinking about cycles! And the art is amazing, I love that hand drawn style. This was a real pleasure to play and look at.
In the river, I almost got stuck behind a rock forever but managed to spam out of it. The river level control might have been better with a reversed control to jump back instead of forward.
It was nice that there was a clear ending and scoring criteria, it made me feel like I knew what was happening.
Great entry!
Thank you for your feedback!
Rocks in the river are one of the rushed features. I wanted to add a reset button combination, so a player can unstuck themselves but I forgot about it completly... I hope this does not happen often.
Oh my god. That is really a masterpiece.
Awesome. Totally worth finishing up as sound would be really nice. I love the hand drawn art style and each level had it's own nice qualities. kudos great job
