Art and music are amazing, really loved those.
Only nit-pick is to add a crosshair around the cursor.
Amazing work, managed to kill 200+ enemies on the rooftops.

Developer

Thanks for playing. All the feedback you guys are giving me will really help me make my next games even better. Congrats on getting 200+ on the rooftops. I only managed to get 100 (Btw i really loved your game)

Developer

I'm also currently working on the post jam version of my game so stay tuned for that.

Incredible work on capturing that PSX Era! Level and Environment design was amazing and on point! Gameplay was fun as well!

However, I would definitely look into adding in;

1) Different Weapons
2) Reloading and Ammo Management
3) Power ups

Then you can actually take this in 2x Directions; As a wave spawning mode, where every wave increases Enemy spawn rate and count.

OR (Which I really think you'd thrive with this)

An Arcade On Rails Shooter mode

I really believe with your skills in level and environment design, you d be able to make a great on Rails experience!

Then some extra polish; I d suggest adding in a custom recticle, muzzle flashes and more impact vfx.

A Solid experience! Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game. I will be releasing a post jam version of the game that will have all the things you have mentioned. Ive also been thinking of making an on rails shooter so if i make one i will release it on here.

Nice game that captures the 32bit 90s era pretty well. I like the variety of music & environments included here. The game over screen is a nice throwback to the era, but I felt it was missing a player scream SFX. I think the addition of a muzzle flash and bullet impact VFX would add a lot to the game as well. One major issue is that enemies on some levels could kill without ever appearing on screen. Overall, this entry was solid. Good job!

let me start by saying that i loooooove the presentation here so much! the art, music, models, overall aesthetic kick so much ass. that said, the gameplay is very simple; i think adding a rounds system with a few little powerups added would really elevate it! just my two cents though!

Developer

thanks for playing the game. I’m glad you loved it. I will be releasing a post jam version with all this stuff that you named

I like the font and map design, full of that 90s aesthetic. The gameplay feel a underwhelming however, as there is no clear lose or win condition (if  there is but I didn't notice, my apology)

Jam Host(+1)

takes me back to the arcade days with Time Splitters and house of the dead. if there's a post jam update lemme know

Developer

thanks for playing. I'm really glad that you liked the game. I will be releasing a post jam version of this game so I'll let you know when that comes out

A fun and interesting game! I liked the variety of levels and the design of the aliens.

I reckon some powerups and different enemy types would be cool, good effort.

The graphics are excellent, and I especially love the alien design.

Intersting game. I had fun playing it, could get some polishing work done, and as was here already said, it could also get more levels :)

overall, i think this is a pretty good game.

Pretty cool game, especially for a solo developer. I think it's very visually appealing and the monster design is pretty silly looking (in a good way!) and is animated pretty well. I really dig the idea of using the keyboard to move and look around and shoot like it's a hybrid between house of the dead and typical FPS games. Music is also pretty chill as well. I think my only real issue with the game is that there's not much variety to it aside from the stages. You kinda do the same thing over and over again. Like for example, it would be pretty cool if there was different alien types that shot lasers at you as well or can force you to use different weapons via super armor (those would be nice too), or if there was some sort of round structure and a goal to work towards (Maybe I didn't play long enough but I don't think I saw anything like that.) Overall, very cool game and great job as a solo dev especially, but it could use some work in the gameplay area of things.

Thanks for playing the game. I'm glad you mostly liked it. I'm planning on releasing a full version of this game so I didn't wanna add too much to this game.
