Disclaimer: I have not yet managed to beat the game because I am terrible at platformers.
But otherwise it's fantastic! You really pulled a magic trick with this one. I read the rules a few times and was fully ready to restart the game several times because of the random nature of the block placement, but it somehow works?? I mean, I think I understand why it works now... the fact that blocks reset if you die after throwing the point stick really helps here, and by the point you're stuck enough to throw it or are ready to declare your intent to beat the level, you've already mapped enough of the level to understand what areas need to be clear of cacti / have a block somewhere in them and it seems like there's a 50/50 chance of block or cactus, so most areas are large enough that you're almost certainly going to get a block in (and if not, oh well, die and try again!)
But the random block placement in itself does this really cool thing where it adds a lot of dynamism to each level. It's not so much that each click leads to ruin or salvation, it just changes the level! You get a block? Level is easier! You get a cactus? Level is harder, but you can still try to navigate it by adding blocks in new locations.
The point system is also interesting. The star giving you double points, but you needing to get 1000 points to be able to generate it in the first place makes it so that you should try to plan out what fruits/diamonds you'll want to get now vs. after generating the star. And that decision can also be down to how lucky/unlucky you are with the block placement on each screen. The only thing I didn't really get was the level selection, since it seemed like I could access levels I didn't have enough points to access, but maybe I just misunderstood how that works.
I don't know if I'll come back to finish this, but I really enjoyed my time with it. Thanks for making it!
