Hello there

i made an android game using unity and would like to upload it here

would it be a problem if it has unity ads in it and also does itch io take money from developers with ads?

To the best of my knowledge, there's no rule against it, and any extra income you earn that way belongs to you. Beware that server security could make it hard to embed the ads, and you should probably warn people upfront in the game description.

One thing I've never been quite sure about is if an Android APK distributed on itch.io with Unity Ads will actually generate ad revenue, as I've seen statements about a Google Play requirement like this one that says the user must have access to Google Play, which maybe just means the phone has Google Play on it, but I've never seen it explained precisely.

Here’s our policy on adding ads to your games: https://itch.io/docs/creators/quality-guidelines#avoid-obtrusive-advertisements-or-third-party-logins
